Training: Managing Project Management RiskDynamic Risk Management professional Costa Zakis will lead a risk management workshop that applies risk management principles in the project management context. Costa Zakis is the General Manager (Pacific) Marsh Risk Consulting. Marsh is a world leading insurance broker, and risk advisor that offers insurance and risk management services. Marsh has significant global experience in risk management in both government and private sector industries.
Course Outline: This program applies the basic principles of risk management and the Australian standard: AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 in the context of managing projects. Practical examples of developing a risk management plan will be examined in detail.
Pre-requisite: Completion of the Introduction to Whole of Government Risk Management Training and an understanding of Project Management Principles.
Key Topics: - Establishing the project context.- Identifying Project based risks.- Qualifying the risks.- Identification of risk treatments (prevention, contingencies,
contracts etc.)- Ongoing project management (monitoring and review) and
reporting Who should attend? It is recommended that team leaders, managers and senior
managers should attend however the training is open to all ACT Government staff who undertake (or will undertake) project management functions.
Training Format: This is an all day training event. Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided.
