INTRODUCTION

Techma Group comprises Techma Training Division, Techma Technical Assistance and Recruitment Division, Techma Emergency Response and Disaster Management Division, our office in Iraq, Al Takamul, and the Basra Academy for Training, our training facility housed within the Basrah Technical College.

The Training Division specialises in the delivery of Health and Safety training and in emergency response development at all levels. Our courses are IOSH approved and accredited by NEBOSH, JOIFF, HABC and IADC and our partners have additional accreditation for the delivery of ICAO and OPITO courses. Techma Group is proud of its course accreditations, but we are also mindful that some organisations may prefer their courses designed specifically to satisfy their own needs. This can be accommodated by Techma, although it is possible that some of the amendments made to our brochure courses may nullify the accreditation. Our most recent addition to the Group is Techma Emergency Response and Disaster Management Division that provides a holistic answer to an organisations emergency response requirement. We offer trained personnel who are competent to undertake the roles of CFO, FTL and FTM, particularly within the oil and gas industry, deliver the necessary fire-fighting resources and equipment, and provide the required management personnel to oversee the facility, thus removing a major burden from an organisations responsibility. We also provide major disaster management plans, their implementation, testing and continuous up-date. In addition to competences shown above, Techma Group utilises the skills of highly qualified and experienced personnel to undertake consultancy work. This can be in the form of a Training Needs Analysis to ensure an organisation operates as economically as possible, or in the design of major emergency plans, that Identify the goals and objectives for the emergency response plan and define what an emergency response team is expected to do during an emergency.
