Bell desk Or Concierge

• The Bell Desk is that department in the hotel that is the busiest of the all in front office. This department is controlled by the Bell Captain. Under the bell captain are the Bell boys who does most of the work.

Duties and Responsibilities of Bell Boys and Bell Captains

• Welcoming the guest from the main door• Carrying of luggage's of guest and then delivering those to

their respective rooms• Handing out welcome drinks to the guest• Doing photocopy of guest passports and visas• Making out the C- form and then submitting that to the police• Delivering newspapers to the guest rooms• Delivery of letters and other amenities to the guest• Giving directions and providing information to the guest• Booking of cabs and railways and airline tickets for the guest• Storing of guest luggage's safely• Escorting guest to the room

Reception and Registration

• The reception and registration is that department of the hotel from where the guest gets the confirmation about their reservation of rooms.

• This department in The Lalit Ashoke, Bangalore was looked after by the GRE’s (Guest Relation Executives) and the GSA’s ( Guest Service Associates) and also by the Duty Manager

• Welcoming the guest• Asking whether the guest has an reservation or not• Printing out of the registration card• Checking the identity proof of the guest• Escorting guest to the room• Updating the system• Sending of information to the Front Office Manager or the

Asst. Front Office Manager.• In Case of a Foreigner guest must have the Xerox of passport

and Visa
