INTRODUCTION & STAGE-SETTING
LET’S DO IT TOGETHER.
WHY A WEB LITERACY STANDARD?
• To talk the talk and walk the walk
• To ensure we’re teaching the right things
• To connect similar projects and efforts
• To create a web literate planet - multiply scale and impact
Simple: 'a set of rules for ensuring quality'
Longer: 'a document established by consensus and approved by a recognized body that provides for common and repeated use, rules, guidelines or characteristics for activities or their results, aimed at the achievement of the optimum degree of order in a given context'

WHAT IS A STANDARD?
• Definitions
• Outcomes / Rubrics
• Eventually: Assessments and APIs
