Top tips for good practice Safety harnesses must be worn while erecting or dismantling and clipped to a secure anchor point where a fall of 4m or more is possible Scaffolders should NOT clamber up & down the lifts. Ladders should be put in as early as possible & tied. The scaffold should be tied to the structure or otherwise braced as the structure is erected Base plates, double handrails, and toe boards should be used Put measures in place to prevent debris and falling materials Boards should not be split or warped and not painted to conceal defects Fittings should be in good condition, not rusty & not bent Inform end user that scaffold should be checked regularly by competent person Remember: Think safe, work safe, home safe!
