The world is full of beautiful beaches and popular surf spots, but the wide variety of options can make it difficult to choose a good surfing destination. The following are just a few of the best surf destinations around the world:

- Safi, Morocco: Often regarded as a hidden gem, Safi offers long and fast barrels during low tide. However, the area has yet to explode in popularity because of its unpredictable conditions and often-territorial locals.

- Mentawai Islands, Indonesia: Made up of four main islands, all of which are known for their perfect waves, the Mentawai Islands are a popular destination. Although most people visit between March and October, the area’s biggest swells occur between June and September.

- Fuerteventura, Spain: The second biggest of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura has great year-round weather and surfing conditions. It is known as a surfing mecca, and the best time of year to visit for surfing is between October and March.

- Trestles, California. Located in San Clemente, Trestles is a part of Orange County and is known around the world for its waves. The beach has five different breaks, all of which get very crowded by midday during summer, so the early morning is the best time to go.
