is also called as Banaras or Kashi by many people. Varanasi is known

to be one of the oldest cities of the world. Usually for Hindus

Varanasi Ghats: Around the world, Varanasi Ghats are renowned

for their culture and devotion. The steps of these Ghats lead to

the river Ganga and here you will find most of the pilgrims and

bathers. In Varanasi you will come across several Ghats some of

them are Panchganga Ghat, Dasaswamedh Ghat, Tulsi Ghat and

ManikarnikaGaht and so on. All the Ghats are known for their

scenic beauty. The major attraction of this place is the boat ride

from one Ghat to another.

Vishwanath Temple: Here in Varanasi, which is also known as the

city of temples, Kashi Vishwanath temple is there. This temple is

also known as the holy temple among others in India. While

visiting this temple you will not only witness the tranquil

mysticism,but can also see the harmonious co-existence of a

temple and a Mosque in the same premise.

Ramnagar Fort: Located at the opposite of the Ganges River this

astonishing Fort is build up of red stone. It includes and long

history besides graceful lavishness. This Monument was built in

Eighteenth century and it was the ancestral home to Maharaja of

Banaras and it also accommodates a temple as well as a museum

inside it. If you come to this place during Dussehrathen you can

witness the month long Ramlila which is inaugurated by the

Maharaja of Kashi.

Sarnath: This is considered as the first place where Dharma was

taught by GautamBudhha. Sarnath has a museum and Buddhist

temples which are built by numerous Asian countries with the

effect of their architectural style. Sarnath is not only a place of

structures such as Ashoka Pillar, Dharmarajika and The

DhamekStupa and so on.

Man Mandir Observatory: This spot is located just few steps from

Dasaswamedh Ghat. The place is considered as a well known

tourist spot which is crowded by millions all through the year. This

monument is made up of astronomical an instrument which is

capable of calculating time, study the planets and other heavenly

body movements, angles and distance.
