top 5 b2b websites 2013
TRANSCRIPT
My name is Alessa Bastianelli. Right now i am
studying economics at Bocconi University located
in Milan. I’ve prepared this slide due to my
homework about “How social are today’s B2B
websites?”
I’ve done a huge research and come up with this
list. Ive choosen the most special ones which are
more cheap and useful.
1) Alibaba.com
The most known B2B Trade
Networking service. This site is full of
products and it is possible to
find any product in any category.
It is not hard to use and you can
search for companies looking for
your products and system lets you
find new customers.
For sociality, you can add products
to your favorites.
Verified companies are named as
Gold Suppliers. I think gold suppliers
pays around 3500 Dollars per year.
It seems like a really huge amount
of money for an internet site.
2) Upstored.com
Although this site is not so full of
products, it seems like going to
expand itself easily. You can
register for free, set up your company
and display your products with an
unlimited range and also it is
totally free.
The reason i’ve put this site in
second place is, the social
possiblities this site serves for your
company. You can follow companies
to get the latest feeds and like
products which you can also see
in the future. Companies gets
notifications when you like their
products and the messaging is very
simple. It is easier than Facebook.
3) Indiamart.com
If i tell my interest to this site,
products are easy to reach. As i
made a research of products in this
site, they are maybe a half of
alibaba.com but i think they are more
easy to find.
This site also has an upgraded
membership type which is gold
members. I dont really know the price
of being a gold member but it is a
good site to follow latest products.
There is a lack of social activities for
companies. Need to be improved.
4) Made-in-china.com
I’ve also found this site where it
looks mostly chinese
manufacturers, wholesalers and
exporters but it is possible to find
many companies from any
country. This site also have a large
list of products where it is easy to
reach. I haven’t seen anything
familiar with sociality but it has a
big data in itself.
I think they supply a membership
“Audit suppliers” where only
chinese suppliers can gain. It is a
good site but needs more sociality.
5) Tradeindia.com
This is an another website which is
well known. This site has so many
indian suppliers where you can
find a high volume of products.
The thing i didn’t like with this site
that, it is really mixed with texts
and it is hard to find what you are
looking for. A redesign is
neccessarily needed i think.
Also it needs some social activity
services for companies.
