  • 4. 1. How do I update my QAS Data?
    • QAS offers three options for updating data:
      • Physical Media (CD/DVD)
      • FTP Download
      • Electronic Updates
        • Default Method
    • Recommended Method: Electronic Updates
      • Ensures the most up to date reference data
      • Eliminates manual maintenance
  • 5. 2. How do I install my QAS Software?
    • QAS offers detailed instructions on how to install all QAS products on our Support Website: support.qas.com
    • All products are installed via a windows based wizard that walks you through step by step

  • 9. 3. Can I move my QAS Software?
    • QAS Software can be moved from server to server or client machine to client machine
    • Our recommended method for moving QAS products to a new machine involves installing a new instance and moving over all configuration settings

    • There are three likely culprits for a bad address:
      • Reference Data
      • Integration
      • Product Engine
    4. An address is being returned with a match type different than I expect, what do I do?
    • Try looking on usps.com and canadapost.ca
    • Do not trust search engine results
  • 11. 5. Should I change how my QAS product is configured?
    • What are you looking to accomplish?
    • Have you consistently seen results that are different than what you would expect?
      • If so, what percentage of your results are coming back different than expected?
  • 12. 6. Why is QAS Pro Plug n Go not pasting correctly?
    • Issue not related to APIs, just QAS Pro Standalone or Client Server
    • Most common causes:
      • End users starting with cursor on the wrong line
      • Changes to CRM/application Pro is pasting into
      • End users using the wrong configuration
      • Configuration change is required
    • Make sure this is a universal issue. If the problem is limited to a handful of users, you likely do not need a configuration change.

    • Data expiration occurs on a bi-monthly basis
      • For monthly data update customers, this happens on a monthly basis

    • Instructions for confirming what data set you are using can be found in all QAS product manuals

    • Yes, changes to your operating system do effect your QAS Software
      • Common issues you might see:
        • QAS Pro doesnt paste anything
        • QAS Pro doesnt paste into correct fields
        • Unable to start windows services/daemon
    • To avoid issues, call into QAS Technical Support before upgrading to new Operating Systems. We will be able to confirm if the version of QAS you are using is compatible.
