• The forks should sit low when moving

• Loads should be correctly stacked across both forks

• Check overhead obstacles before stacking

• Use ropes & straps to secure loads

• Do not overload the forklift

• Do not push a load with the forks

7. Maintain Visibil ity

Always maintain a clear view of your path and

load throughout your journey.

8. Driving on Ramps

• If you’re travelling uphill, move in a forward direction

• If travelling downhill, move in a backward direction

• Always look in the direction of travel

• Use a look out for additional safety if necessary

• Never turn, change direction or load
