6. Loading ProceduresOne of the biggest causes of forkl if t accidents is unsafe loads:
• The forks should sit low when moving
• Loads should be correctly stacked across both forks
• Check overhead obstacles before stacking
• Use ropes & straps to secure loads
• Do not overload the forklift
• Do not push a load with the forks

load throughout your journey.

• If travelling downhill, move in a backward direction
• Always look in the direction of travel
