Who is eligible to apply:
Any graduate student (PhD/Masters) studying at a U.S. university sponsored by a scholarship or by personal or family funds.
PhD student must be in the final year of study Master(s) student must be in the final six months
of study
All applicants have to indicate that they are Iraqi citizens or Iraqi ex-patriots studying and living in the United States of America.
Selection Committee:
The selection committee for the awards are distinguished academics in the U.S. from
outside TOFIQ
Four awards will be granted: two for PhD and two for Masters.
The awardees will have their travel and lodging expenses covered by TOFIQ
The celebration will be held in Washington DC on Satur-day December 3, 2016
The event will include a musical performance of Iraqi, Middle Eastern and American musicians.
This initiative of TOFIQ is part of its objectives and con-tributions to promoting higher education in Iraq.
TOFIQ’s some other contributions are: * TOFIQ journal of medical sciences (Medicine, dentistry, pharma-
cy, nursing and bioengineering) now in its third year. (TJMS.tofiq.org)
* Sending team of volunteer distinguished surgeons to Iraq. * Opening an Iraqi Chapter of the American Chemical Society * Donating teaching CDs and books to Iraq.
