TODAY’S MARKET HEADLINES

·Sensex, Nifty consolidate; HDFC falls 1 %, IT stocks weak.

· market consolidated but the Nifty ended above 6700. The Nifty was up 15.95 points

at 6715.30 while the Sensex was up 63.30 points at 22508.42.

· HDFC Q4 NII below estimates, net up 11%; margins improve

. Canara Bank falls 3% post Q4, brokerages not impressed.

· US stocks ended slightly higher as data showed strength in the services sector

and Apple shares rose above USD 600 for the first time since 2012.

· Euro zone PPI falls 0.2% in March.

· Europe Expects Its Economy to Grow 1.6% This Year

. Asian mkts firm; Shanghai Composite, Taiwan Weighted up. Asian stocks eked

out slim gains on Tuesday in holiday-thinned trade with markets in South Korea,

Hong Kong and Japan shut.
