Due to last minute changes, TM

Vinay Satheesh was assigned the

role of Sergeant At Arms and he did

full justice to the role. He explained

the club mission and was as clear as

crystal in explaining about the 3

taboo topics of Sex, Religion and

Politics. He introduced the Dubai

Toastmasters President TM Deepak

Gulati with great enthusiasm.

PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS

The Meeting was called Open by

Dubai Toastmasters President TM

Deepak Gulati through an inspiring

story of Charles Plumb’s life; a POW

(Prisoner of War) turned Motivation

Speaker. He emphasized on being

thankful to each person whose

small but vital deeds goes unnoticed

in our lives. The story about ‘Who

Packs Your Parachute’ is surely

going to be remembered by all

Toastmasters and Guests.

TM Deepak Gulati invited BOAT Club

President TM Kishore Shelke.

For the Benefit of Toastmasters &

Guests, TM Kishore Shelke

introduced the concept of

Toastmasters, its history, benefits

and current status.

TM Deepak & TM Kishore noted

that this meeting had the maximum

number of Guests even seen in their

tenure.

TM Deepak & TM Kishore then

introduced the TMODs for the day

with much required vigor.

WORD MASTER: TM SINCY SANTOSH

Keeping with the Theme of the Day

(Together We Prosper), the meeting had

TWO TMODs – TM Qaisar Amin from

Dubai Toastmasters & TM Santosh Tony

from BOAT Club.

The TMOD’s advised on the changes to

the Agenda and presented a Video

highlighting the Union of Strength.

The TMODs also introduced and

acknowledged the Silent Role Payers of

the Meeting.

The purpose of this session is to introduce a new word and include its usage during our regular discussions. TM Sincy Santosh, who comes from the Family of Toastmasters, introduced the Word of the Day

Word of the day: ALACRITY Meaning: Cheerful, Readiness, Promptness ROUND ROBIN SESSION Considering the Full House, TMOD requested every Third member and guest to frame a sentence and use the word of the day.

The word ALACRITY was used 18 times

during the course of the meeting.

PROJECT SPEECHES

Speaker 1 – TM Kiran Punjabi, attempting

his P1 from CC manual, took us through

the exciting journey of his Life. He

highlighted the importance of enjoying

every moment in Life

Speaker 2 – TM Gina Monis, attempting

her P5 from CC manual, used real life

examples to reinforce the quote ‘Action

speaks louder than the words’.

Speaker 3 - TM Deepak Gulati, attempting

P1 from ACB manual, took us all into the

Fantasy World of a Deadly Giant Monster

and Three Brothers. Everybody will surely

remember the Wise Jack

Speaker 4 – TMKishore Shelke, attempting

P7 from CC manual, explained the harmful

side of Mobile Phone usage and suggested

precuationary measures to safeguard from

harumful radiations

TIMER’S REPORT

TMOD asked the Toastmasters to Vote for the Best Speaker & announced a Break of

10 minutes.

Meeting Resumed after 10minutes.

TABLE TOPIC SESSION

TM Dennis Koshy did a

fantastics job of recording the

noting down the time taken

by all speakers. He informed

that only speaker no 1, 3 & 4

had qualified.

Table topics is an impromptu speaking

session which helps us to improve our

ability to think on our feet and deliver

when we are asked to speak in front of

the audiences just out of the blue.

TMOD introduced Table Topic Master

TM Brian Sampaga to conduct Table

Topic session.

TM Brian used exciting Topics to test

the various participants/speakers and

the speakers responded by displaying

quick thinking and creativity.

EVALUATION SESSION

All the evaluators gave motivational evaluations to encourage the speakers .

Each speech is evaluated by the evaluator based on the objectives of the

project. Evaluators provide their feedback with words of encouragement

and valuable suggestions.

GRAMMARIAN’S REPORT

AH COUNTER’S REPORT

TM Richa Khera highlighted the

exceptional & creative use of

language by various speakers and

identified various improvement

areas.

MTM Richa pointed to the fact that

most of the grammatical errors

occur due to speed of translation of

thoughts from Native Language to

English. Her Suggestion – Speak

slowly so that you allow your

translation process to complete.

TM Mustaqeem listened

patiently to all the

speakers and

highlighted that there

were in all 48 Ah’s &

Filler Words used in the

meeting

GENERAL EVALUATION

TM Abdul Khaliq ,VP Education of

Dubai Toastmasters Club give an

encouraging evaluation.

TM Khaliq’s close observation skills

was visible in his evaluation which

included some valuable suggestions

for all role players. TM Khaliq

praised all the role players for the

worthy job done.

Presidents TM Deepak Gulati & TM Kishore Shelke handed over the winners with
