A few mild but non- debilitating side effects occurred with almost equal frequency in all groups. Severe nausea caused I patient on conjugated oeslrogens to leave the trial. Vaginitis. bacterial or parasitic, developed in 5 patients. equally distributed among the groups. Papanicolaou smears were normal throughout the study in J patients with vaginitis.
