Ladies and gentlemen:

This is not intended to flatter readers and writers to the editor, but to give their opinion, especially wiseideas and truths finally the chance to land in the front page.

From time to time, there are opinions from readers that express great wisdom and superb intellect. Thiskind, in my analysis, exceeds in value than a narration of report printed in the front page.

What is more valuable: wise opinion which expresses a wise idea and states an eternal truth or mere newsreport which value is merely the national sensation and the noise it triggers and the sales it generates butwhich then fades away to the path of forgotten archive, without leaving a trace of benefit on the peopleexcept an imprint of anger, hatred or desperation?

Which is more important: the event reported or the lesson it conveys which God wants people to discernand observe lest the same event (read: mistake) will repeat in increasing severity, simply because thepeople keeps on hearing without learning?!

Are not the news or rather the incidents being reported getting worse because the people have not thechance to understand the lesson behind them read: which should have served as warning? Is not newsreporting without lessoning confining the nation to dumbness?

Wisdom, Truth and Lesson which are often reflected in some letters by writers to the editors are moreimportant to the nation in the long run than the news printed in front page, and yet these merely are giventhe poor privilege to get printed in the Opinion Section which I consider as a corner and not the front of the house. This is a bias by the owner of the newspaper towards its staff writers and against the people of the land! This is a practice of injustice by the PDI and all other newspapers. If you, in the newspaper industry, are truly bent against injustice, then, you should look at your own tradition of injustice read:unjust practice of giving less importance to the wisdom of the people and merely confining them in somelittle corner of your newspaper called Opinion Section.

No, you are wrong! You have been very wrong! You yourselves have myopic vision regarding what

JUSTICE is what is fair in news papering. Give honor to whom honor is due! If the honor for a frontpage goes to a volunteer unpaid writer to the editor and not to your news reporter, then so be it! Givehim the front page!

For, if you think it more honestly, you are not the owner of your newspaper you are only the owner of the paper as well as of them wrote the news. But you are not the owner of the events, peoples, time,places, and even the words you are using to make news! You merely interviewed them and jotted downwhat they said or scribed some words to describe the events their events, not your events. You did noteven pay the people who owned the news, that is, who were the ones involved in the news or incidents,whose words you quoted! The victims in/of the events!

You merely chronicled what had happened and then you let the rest of the people pay and you get rich! Or at least earned a substantial income for merely writing the story and circulating it!

Is that fair? Is that fair to the owner of the events or victims of the events or to the people who read andpay your stories?

You are not doing real benefit to the nation for merely writing the events, leaving its meanings its whysin some dark corner called Opinion Section or not publishing them at all! You are doing benefits only toyour pocket! The nation has not grown wiser, nor kinder because of your news reporting. They havegrown more divided against themselves instead. And this is because of your news which craftily hide thebetter opinion in some corner and hailed the news.

In my opinion, as a reader of your newspaper, you owe the people read: the wise people of the nation,no matter how few they are you owe them the FRONT PAGE, every time they write you a wiseopinion!!!

In this instance, may I tell you that the letters you published in your Opinion Section in your Monday,

February 21, 2011, issue deserved to be found in your papers FRONT PAGE, not just in the OPINIONSECTION.

These letter writers and their letters are as follows:

What the newspaper owners should now realize are the following: The wisdom or lesson behind the news is more lasting, thus, more valuable than the news If the people of the land are only fronted to the news events and missed the lessons, the nation is

bound to continue in its present pitiful state: a nation without wisdom, repeating its mistakes inincreasing severity. Is it not the case with our nation today? And has it not been the case for solong?

Contrary to its claim, the newspapers are by that act of ignoring wise readers in favor of their merenews writers contributing to the dumbing of the nation, not educating the nation! Grasp that if youare wise!

Therefore, let wisdom have the front page! For wisdom is of greater value:

Pro 4:7

[niv] Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, getunderstanding.[kjv] Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting getunderstanding.

Pro 4:8[niv] Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you.[kjv] Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thoudost embrace her.

Pro 4:9

[niv] She will set a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendor."[kjv] She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall shedeliver to thee.

And stop justifiying your tradition and faulty policies of giving the news greater importance for incomessake.

For where the news reports (the what, who, when, where and shallow how) are hailed andhonored more than their meanings and lessons (i.e., the whys and the deeper hows), there you will find thepeople as dumb as monkeys and turtles hmmmmmmmmmmm, like us the Filipinos!!!???

*** I am not talking about the newspapers opinion writers. They have their permanent place the papersOpinion writers/Commentators section. I am talking about and wanting to honor the nations fewopinion makers (not paid by the newspapers) who wrote to the editors. I want them honored and aboveall, their wise opinions given honor of being printed in the front page, because doing so will push thenation one step higher in nobility and sublimity which is possible only when and if wisdom is honored andappreciated more than the news or events.

As the saying goes, Mediocre people talk about people. Ordinary people talks about events. But greatpeople discuss ideas. Wisdom are about great ideas.

To the credit of the PDI, you have already done this for your staff writer like Amando Doronilla andothers whose write-ups you gave valuable space in front page. May the same honor be given to ordinaryreaders whose opinions are at par or sometimes even exceed those of Doronilla and others!

Ideas and wisdom must be hailed and its sender be given due credit.

But great opinion maker does not chase personal honor. They do not desire their names be printed. Tothem, the honor for their wise idea is more important. For they are more after of the benefit their idea doesto the nation than what it does to their name. Therefore, let the idea or wisdom or truth be published andhonored in the front page every time they deserve to be in front page.

If you publish his name, let it be only for the reason of and as your way of expressing gratitude andestablishing authority.

This is one major step towards becoming a nation who is wise as a serpent but blameless as a dove !Otherwise, we will continue to think, behave and act as monkeys and turtles. No foreigners and their connivers call us that. No, they dont call us monkeys and turtles, lest we hear it, get hurt and startthinking who we really are. No, they dont say it they merely treat us as such!!!!

To close, may I quote the Lords surprising wisdom in His Parable of the Hawk and the Turtle and maythis serves as our tutor:

THE PARABLE OF THE HAWK AND THE TURTLE

Do not follow the evil inhabitants in hell who serve out of selfishness, foreveryone there expects to be served.

They are like the story of the turtle and the hawk. The hawk first eagerlyhelps the turtle out of its mud-hole in the meadow, only to be grabbed by thehawk in its neck during its search for herbs, carried aloft and smashed into arock.

Why did the hawk do that? So that she can enjoy the turtles flesh as areward for its previous eagerness to help. My, children, do not do that!

Service should be given in love and with true brotherly feeling, as iscustomary in the heavens. 1

In addition to giving peoples choice opinions the limelight, there is a greater point I have wanted to drivehere for a long time: SUCH CHOICE PEOPLES OPINIONS ACTUALLY ARE LEARNED BY THEMAND BY US FROM GOD.

Therefore, we are now to begin giving recognition and credit to Whom we owe it for a long time already namely: to God our Father.

We, journalists, authors and writers have very great responsibility to be GODS USEFUL TOOLS.

And truly, one word that I speak through you will bring more blessing than a thousand

times a thousand of your words; for yours will bringdiscord whereas My Word will unite all hearts, be they friends or enemies. My Word is the bridge to all hearts.If you cannot yet live in peace with your brothers and sisters, then this only proves that you are still stickingto your truth and are not yet standing up fully for My truth. My truth unites all hearts, even if the unbelieving

person does not yet want to understand it completely or live according to it. If you pass My truth on to anunbeliever through My mouth, he must accept it even if outwardly he still resists it. My truth enlightens every heart and will remain awake as the conscience.

If you tell the very lowest of beings of My truth inMy spirit, then it will understand it, although it may not comply with it. The adversary knows the truth but disregards it. If you bring people My truth and they donot live according to it, you are not responsible. It isyour responsibility to acquaint them with it and then IMyself shall take care of the germination of the seed.

The crown of thorns to Me is the fact that people do not teach their inferiors My truth, but tell them things My heart dislikes.

With one word people would be told everything:"Love God within Christ! Then you live within Christ and Christ within you. Then Christ is your life."

Everything else that is being taught is at the best anexplanation of this sole eternal truth which I gave youas the foundation of My doctrine.

Whatever men are being taught apart from thisteaching are for the greater part roundabout or wring-ways which do not lead them to eternal salvation. If you serve Me and allow Me to be active within youonly for a second, then this is more than you canachieve in a year of your own searching and striving.
