Skyfall
In this abstract title sequence there are a wide variety of almost animated scenes which give many enigma codes of the films narrative. The titles are incorporated subtlety in white in a bold san-serif font. They do not take away form the animations in the film.

These are the production companies who made the film. They are the first title because they are in charge of the entire operation.

Daniel Craig is the leading actor of the film which is why he is separate from the other actors and his name is on screen for longer than everyone else.

Ian Fleming is the writer of the novels the film is based on, this is why he appears as one of the first name on the title sequence.

This is the title of the film, which is why the font is slightly bolder and why it is on the screen for longer than the other names.

for the word ‘starring’ to be used in a film as it is usually used in TV programmes.
The following few slides are all of the leading actors of the film, they all have the same screen time as each other.

Judi Dench is a big star in this film this is why her name has a longer screen time than the other featured actors. She also has ‘as M’ on her frame which suggests she plays a high (important) role in the film.
This is also an enigma code as at the end of the film ‘M’ dies and her name appears in a grave yard in the title sequence.

The Co-Producers play a big role in organising the making of the film. They are very important to the operation which is why there names come just after the actors and is why there names have a slightly longer screen time.

This frame has four people on it, it has there job and then there name ( 1 second per name) these people do not run the film but played big roles in there departments during the making of the film.

There is also a lot to read so a longer time is needed.

The roles on the next few frames are considered as more important roles then the ones on the last four which is why there is 2 seconds for each name apposed to one. This is because these people had a big role in making the film.

The next few titles are the names of people who are considered to have the highest ranked roles, such as editor, music etc. These people have a frame each to themselves and have 3 seconds screen time which is only a second less than the groups of names in previous frames.

This frame gives information about the song playing in the background of this opening. It is placed towards the end of the opening just like it would be at the end of a music video.

The next four slides have the jobs which I consider to be the big three. Producers, Writers and Director. They are last because they played the biggest part in the films production.

The director is the last title to appear just like in every film. This person is very important, they could be considered as the most important which is why they are last.
The only two names which are centred and on there own frame is the leading actor and the director.
Overview
Throughout this process… I have noticed from looking closely at this film opening that the
timings used are very even, an often the same amount of time. I have also realised that there is a specific order in which titles
must appear in a film opening. I have also learned that some actors have it in there contract
how long there name must be on the screen for and when it must appear.
