Summary• Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase and Thalia Grace went to

Westover Hall in Maine after Grover Underwood discovers two half-bloods, two siblings named Nico and Bianca di Angelo. They also narrowly escape an attack by a manticore named "Dr. Thorn," with some help from Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, and her hunters, which include Zoe Nightshade.

• Percy and his friends must look for Artemis. Thalia, Zoe, Bianca di Angelo, and Grover went on their dangerous quest. They also are searching for a rare monster that Artemis was trying to hunt down when she went missing, it is so strong that it can obliterate Olympus. Percy is called by a hippocampus to rescue a marine cow-like creature trapped in the Long Island Sound called the Ophiotaurus.

Summary 2

• Percy is not allowed on the quest so He foolowed the other travelers in his pegasus and on the way, he saw Dr. Thorn and followed him instead. He saw The General" who was being obeyed by Dr. Thorn. Percy rushed back to his friends to warn them and also they encountered a Nemean Lion.

• Apollo finds them at a freight yard and supplies them with a way to Cloudcroft, New Mexico where an  Erymanthian Boar takes them to the junkyard of the gods. Eventually, the group enters the junkyard, where Bianca tries to steal a statue  She accidentally awakens a prototype of Talos, a giant man of bronze, and dies after being inside the metal giant while it was shocked by telephone poles, but still successfully destroyed it.

Summary 3

• In Hoover Dam, Percy meets Rachel , a girl who can see through the Mist. She saves Percy by confusing the skeletons, allowing Percy and his friends to escape after another ambush by praying to Athena to animate two angel statues on the terrace, which took them to the Embarcadero in San Francisco.

• They headed to  Garden of Hesperides, where Zoe meets her sisters. She distracted the dragon Ladon so that they can head to Mount Othrys a.k.a. as the Titan’s Capital. They saw Artemis who was holding Atlas’ burden. Annabeth is held captive by Luke. So Percy carried Artemis’ burden, “The Titan’s Curse”, so that she and Zoe may face Atlas while Thalia is battling Luke.

Summary 4

• Atlas throws his daughter Zoë, slamming her against the rocks. Artemis tricks Atlas into taking his burden from Percy. Zoe dies (because of the poisonous bite from Ladon and the impact of the rocks) caused by her father) and Artemis turns Zoë into a constellation, in memorial to her. During a battle between Thalia and Luke, Luke falls off a cliff but they found out that he is still alive. Thalia is asked by Artemis and agrees to join the Hunters so that she can prevent the great prophecy from being fulfilled.

Moral Values Learned / Messages

There were several messages I that I got from this book.

• Courage – When Percy went through all that hardships and obstacles. He is being brave for the sake of others.

• Responsibility – When Percy held responsible on Nico’s sister, Bianca, to keep her safe from harm unfortunately, She died on her own actions.

• Care for others – When he went through all this hardships just to rescue the Goddess and his only friend Annabeth.
