Prelude

Man has almost exhausted or about to exhaust earth’s

resources, there are plenty of re-useable products that can help

save the environment are discarded or sent to landfills either for

buria l or incineration, both are also harmful to the environment,

landfills are overcrowded with reusable material, carry heavy

operational costs, and won’t last forever due to rising precious

land costs and preparations to accept further waste.

The term recycling is widely understood as recycling at the

source or curbside recycling, this is where consumers separate

recyclable material after use and deliver to municipalities or

recycling facility “rather material recovery facility - MRF”,

however the recycling process is a bit different.

Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into

reusable objects to prevent waste of potentially useful materials,

reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, energy usage,

air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from

landfilling) by decreasing the need for "conventional" waste

disposal and lowering greenhouse gas emissions compared to

plastic production.

In this book we will focus on lucrative recycling processes where

recyclers can make economic gains in addition to serving

environmental protection causes.
