The precisely engineered preset gang angle assures that all soil thrown outward by the front gangs will be returned by the rear gangs. Sunflower’s three-sided blade on each rear corner produces a non-continuous furrow to minimize water erosion.

GAuGE WHEELs

This feature stops the front gangs of the wing frame from gouging, buckling or cutting deeper than the other gangs, promoting a level, ridge-free and furrow-free field. The heavy-duty gauge wheels feature a 5-bolt hub and 8.00 (203mm) x 10 ply tire.

rePhasing Lift sYstEM

Eliminates all linkages, reducing unpopular wear points. Each lift cylinder is equipped with replace-able hardened wear bushings on both clevis and cylinder-mounted ends.

22" (559 mm) and 24" (610 mm) disc blades enhance residue coverage and increase ability to penetrate the soil. Large 1-3/4" (44 mm) gang shafts with a spring washer on the end of the gang, provide a solid foundation.

Independent flexing of each bar allows maximum conformance to irregular terrain. The combination weight of 11" (279 mm) spikes on 1-1/2" (38 mm) centers, completes the seedbed whether primary or finish discing.

This is the heaviest and largest chisel plow we build. Matched to high horsepower tractors, tillage becomes a simple

task and the results are impressive! The Sunflower Model 2433 tills deeply and evenly across the entire cutting width.

The heavy 4 in. x 6 in. (102 mm x 152 mm) tubular steel tongue extends from front to rear beneath the framework and

is bolted to each bar, distributing stress across the entire frame. Rephasing hydraulics provide superior depth control.

The tandem beam pivots on a set of greasable tapered roller bearings for smooth, long-lasting service. Grease-fitting-equipped six-bolt hubs and heavy-duty 2” (51 mm) slip-in spindles feature triple-lip seals.

Front-mounted depth control allows the opera-tor to set the depth of the entire chisel from a single, convenient loca-tion. No need to move from frame to frame set-ting each section as you go, just turn the handle and dial in your depth.

Rephasing hydraulic lift system features two 4” x 8” (102 mm x 203 mm) cylinders with hydraulic stroke control and match-ing 3-3/4” x 8” (95 mm x 203 mm) slave cylinders. Shank depth control is precise and the traditional rockshaft linkage wear-points are minimized.

Three-row cOiL tiNE

Featuring 3/8” x 16” (11 mm x 106 mm) tines on 7 1/2” (191 mm) centers per bar, 2 1/2” (64 mm) spacing overall and 15” (381 mm) spacing between rows. The unique tine angle adjustment features a direct stop mechanism that eliminates wear-prone linkages and pins. Individually replaceable tines are designed to allow forward pivot for backup protection. Equipped with fully adjustable tension springs that allow desired down pressure settings to be set.

Three- anD fiVe-row sPiKE dRAG

The three-row and five-row spike drags are equipped with 3/4”x11” (19 mm x 28 mm) spikes spaced 9” (229 mm) apart per bar. Three-row configurations are spaced 3” (76 mm) overall and five-row configurations are spaced 1 3/4” (44 mm) overall. The spikes are mounted to individual bars that are linked together with unique connector, allowing you to control the flexibility of the harrow. The spike tooth drag provides additional incorporation and effectively completes the seedbed pro-cess by breaking clods, leveling and firming the soil.

Sunflower offers both conservation and standard treader wheels to match your farming operation. Hard surfaced teeth are available on the conservation treader wheel. Sunflower rolling treaders may be adapted to the full line of 2000 Series chisel plows. This attachment levels and firms the soil, provideing additional weed kill while mixing and distributing available residue.

The Sunflower model 3372 blade plow is designed with the operator in mind. This machine delivers

durable, reduced-maintenance equipment by incorporating UHMW polymer technology in all high wear

areas including lifts, coulter pivot bushings, hinge pivot bushings and flanges between the hinge ear.

Metal to metal wear points have been eliminated. We’ve also added extra strength and longer life to

our frame connections. The model 3372 incorporates easily adjustable swivel linkages between the

rockshafts at each frame for easy and fast adjustments and leveling.

Built with high-carbon steel teeth, spe-cially stress-relieved for ductility and long field life. This means that you will get long life without costly hard facing. In fact, Sunflower does not recommend hard facing the treader teeth because temper could be changed. The same motion rips out weeds and leaves them roots-up on a soil and moisture-conserving field surface. This rigorous activity settles finer soil particles to minimize wind and water erosion.

Higher plant populations and genetically modified hybrids have contributed to a growing residue problem that you are

faced with. The key to breaking down residue is properly sizing and mixing it in the top layer of soil. The Model 4530

disc chisel disc from Sunflower is aggressive enough to handle even the toughest residue conditions. Hydraulically

adjustable front and rear disc gangs can be changed independently of each other, enabling you to fine-tune your

machine from field to field. Chisel shanks are spaced on 15” (381mm) centers and will reach a depth up to 12-14”

(305 mm - 357 mm), and are strategically placed for optimum residue flow. The individually mounted front disc blades

will size and mix the residue, while the shanks will fracture the compaction up to 12-14” (305 mm - 357 mm) deep

The 3” x 4” (76 mm x 102 mm) rectangular tube frame provides the strength today’s high horsepower tractors require, and a Sunflower computer-aided design creates optimum shank placement for unmatched clearance. The Model 5035 features single-point depth control with rephasing lift cylinders... all covered under our three-year warranty. Shanks are available in either spring tension or S-tine design and offer up to 190 pounds (86 kg) of point load for extra tough conditions. Walking tandems and 9.5L (241 mm) tires provide the necessary flotation farmers require of a field cultivator, and the self-leveling hitch maintains a level frame from the front to rear regardless of operating depth.

The built-in weight from the heavy frame provides down pressure of up to 170 lbs. (77 kg) per foot, producing an aggressive attitude toward clods, root balls and leveling stub-born fields.
