Tadoba : Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is a tiger reserve in Chandrapurdistrict of Maharashtra state in central India. THE BUDDHIST MONUMENTS OF SANCHI

Sanchi is significant for Buddhist around the world despite the fact thatLord Buddha himself never paid a visit to it. Sanchi's significance lies in itbeing home to all kind of Buddhist architecture - stupas, chaityas, templesand monasteries. All the monuments date back from 3rd century BC to 12thcentury AD. The important amongst these are the Four Gateways, the GreatStupa 1, Stupa 2 and 3, the Ashokan Pillar, and Temple 18. Apart fromthese, there are Buddhist Viharas and also a Museum. A noteworthy thinghere is that Buddha is not represented in figures but in symbols, indicatinga tradition followed in the early Buddhism, Hinayana. In this Buddha isregarded a human and not a god.

Located in the Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, Barhut is a famousBuddhist destination. The reason for this is the presence of a stupaconstructed by Emperor Asoka in the 3rd century BC. Renovation workwas carried out by later Sunga ruler in the 2nd century BC. The stupatoo depicts Buddha in form of symbols - Bodhi tree, footprints, emptyseat and wheel of dharma.

BARHUT STUPA

Deorkothar is a location of archeological importance in MadhyaPradesh, Central India. It is popular for its Buddhist stupas and wasdiscovered in 1982.These stupas are credited to Mauryan emperorAshoka the great. It is located about 5 km North West of the Katravillage in Rewa district at a distance of 75 km from Rewa on Rewa-Allahabad Road. The stupa of Deur Kothar was established by theMauryan king Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE.
