Newburgh Elementary School 306 State Street Newburgh, IN 47630 812-853-8921 October 10, 2019 Thursday Notes NES Character Counts winner this week is Jack Fathera in Mrs. Brown's 2nd grade class. He was nominated by our PAT volunteers for showing the character trait of Trustworthiness and Responsibility. Jack donated money but realized that a portion of his donated money was not intended for the fundraiser. Jack had the courage to ask for help in a polite and gentlemen like manner to make sure his money went towards the appropriate intentions. Jack's parents can trust him to do the responsible act by showing courage to make things right. NES is proud to give our Character Counts wristband, backpack keychain, Penn Station and Red Lobster Free Kids meal pencil, and a choice from the treasure box for being the NES Character of the week. Fall Break No School Friday October 11th and Monday October 14th 5th Graders Adry Zachritz, Gabe Baughn and Lily Chestnut showing off their art work that Mrs. Schorr sent to the corporation office!! Thank you to everyone who made our fall fundraiser such a success!!! We were able to raise over $25,000 for our school!!! Please join us for Family Fitness Night on the Track!! Students who have made their A/R Goal will get to parcipate in this event. Grades 1, 2, and 3 will be vising Fortress of Fun. Grades 4 & 5 will receive Electronics me. Remember students can not bring cell phone devices!
