SAVE THE DATE: Thursday - July 21, 2016 Alameda Head Start/Early Head Start 555 Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway, Alameda, CA 94501 Alameda Family Services Head Start/Early Head Start, College of Alameda, and the Dr Pepper Snapple Group are building a playground! 150 volunteers from the community are needed to assist in building a great place for kids to play - in ONE day. This project is in partnership with KaBOOM!, the naonal nonprofit dedicated to giving kids the childhood they deserve by bringing play to those who need it most. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Those who are 18+ will be acvely involved in the building of this our new playground. Alameda Family Services Head Start/Early Head Start, College of Alameda, and the Dr Pepper Snapple Group are building a playground!

Help Bring Play to Kids! Join us as Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Alameda Family Services, the College of Alameda,

and the organizers from the national nonprofit KaBOOM! build a playground for our children.

Over 150 parents and community volunteers are needed on:

Alameda Head Start/Early Head Start - College of Alameda Child Care Center 555 Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway, Alameda California 94501

40 volunteers are needed to help us prepare on: Tuesday - July 19th from 8:00am -5:00 pm

15 volunteers are required to assist with set-up on Wednesday, July 20th from 8:00am -5:00 pm

Team Leaders and site preparation volunteers are also needed!

Team Leaders are volunteers who are willing to manage a team of volunteers on a particular project. Those interested are asked to attend a training session on: Tuesday - July 19, 2016 from 2:45 - 3:45 PM.

Volunteers do not have to be trained, skilled or have any special tools!

Child care will be provided to up to 80 children enrolled in the Head Start/Early Head Start Program

Individuals ages 16 & 17 can participate in the Build Day activities, but must have a guardian co-sign the waiver on Build Day.

Children 10 - 15 years of age are welcome to participate in youth based projects, but for safety reasons will not be allowed on build site.

Corporate volunteers other than those from Dr Pepper Snapple Group are welcome, but can not number more than ten.
