28-30 April 2017, Drive Toward a Cure (The California Adventure)

Registration is set to close by the end of March!

Drive Toward a Cure (The California Adventure) is

the first in a series of events we

are looking to create throughout

the U.S. beginning in 2017 and

potentially expanding into

driving programs in Europe as

well. Our goal -- mix cars and

camaraderie – creating a movement for those

that love cars to partake in memorable driving

experiences while raising funds to benefit

Parkinson’s.

The first event will be a simultaneous drive -- the

route from the North will begin at the Blackhawk

car collector museum in Danville, while the

Southern drive will begin at the Petersen Museum

in Los Angeles – and our dual destination will be

in the Paso Robles wine region to enjoy a

weekend of drives, competition, separate wine

tasting and wonderful

receptions.

12 Hours of Sebring

From the Porsche Newsroom:

At the 12 Hours of Sebring, the second long-distance classic of the IMSA SportsCar Championship, the new Porsche 911 RSR was on course for a

podium result until shortly before the finish. In fact, thanks to a sound race strategy and a strong performance from the pilots, even a maiden

victory was within reach. Then, however, a tyre defect and a drive-through penalty put an end to Patrick Pilet’s spectacular charge. The

Frenchman had fought his way through the field in the 510 hp race car with the starting number 911 and was poised to snatch the lead. After

334 laps on the Sebring International Raceway, the legendary airfield circuit in the heart of Florida, the Porsche works driver and his teammates

Dirk Werner (Germany) and Frédéric Makowiecki (France) ultimately had to settle for seventh place in the GTLM class. In the second 911 RSR

fielded by the Porsche GT Team, Kévin Estre (France), Laurens Vanthoor (Belgium) and Richard Lietz (Austria) took the flag in eighth place.

PCA California Inland Region Presents the Zone 8

CONCOURS/CAR SHOW IN THE CANYONS

Date: Sunday, April 30, 2017

Location: College of the Canyons, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA.

Exit I5 at Valencia Boulevard proceed eastbound to the first driveway (W Rd.) and follow the signs.

Bring your friends and family to our annual all-new Concours/Car Show. All cars will be displayed

on grass in a beautiful park-like setting at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita. In addition to

those Porsches in the Judged Categories, we will also present a “People’s Choice Award” in the

Display Category for the Porsche you would most likely want to have in your garage.

If you have one or more friends that have a Porsche and are not yet members, we invite them to

register and display their cars in this beautiful setting. Many local visitors will be attending so let’s

get prepared to show off our Porsches!

The Concours will be in a tree-lined area adjacent to the campus stadium. Placement will begin at 8

a.m., Judging begins at 10:30 a.m. and awards at 2 p.m. Complimentary lunch (with entry) and
