INT. REV. APP. PSYCHOL. VOL. 23. NO. 2 THE XVIIIth INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY Our XVIIIth Congress was held in Montreal from 28 July to 2 August, 1974. About 2,000 people, from about 60 countries, took part. A full report will be published by Mrs. C. Levy-Leboyer in the next number of this Review. But, as from now, our Association thanks the Canadian organ- izers, especially L. A. Dorais, President of the Congress, D. E. Berlyne, Co- President, G. Desautels, General Secretary, D. Elanger, President of the Council of Sciences, Mrs. M. H. Stern, President of the Programme Committee, and, in a general way, all the members of the Board of Administration and of the different bodies. The General Assembly of our Association was held during the Congress. It had been preceded by three meetings of the Executive Committee. The following decisions were taken : 1) Owing to increased costs, particularly of printing the Review and postage, it will be necessary, in order to balance the Association’s budget over the next years, to increase subscription rates by two dollars from 1975. 2) The composition of the Executive Committee has been changed as a result of several resignations and the election of the following new members: Mrs. A. Leproux (Italy), A. L. Angelini (Brazil), D. BClanger (Canada), D. E. Berlyne (Canada), A. Fraczek (Poland), P. Goguelin (France), G. Meuris (Belgium), G. A. Shouksmith (New Zealand), A. Wisner (France). 3) Changes have also taken place among the officers: G. Westerlund (Sweden) giving up Presidency, becomes Past President. E. A. Fleishman (U.S.A.) is appointed President. Mrs. C. Lhy-Leboyer (France) is appointed Vice-president and Editor of the Review. R. Piret (Belgium) remains General Secretary-Treasurer. Munich (Federal Republic of Germany) in July, 1978. 4) The XIXth International Congress of Applied Psychology will be held in R. PIRET
