The Teutsch Family Holiday Newsletter H APPY H OLIDAYS ! To all of our friends, family and acquaintances: We hope you had a joyous day of celebrating the birth of our Lord. May all of the twelve days of Christmas bring you closer to him. Whenever it seems like things are very hectic or out of control, remember that the One who created the heavens and earth is and always will be in control. So be wise, faithful, obedient, loving, kind, generous……..all the attributes the Lord wishes us to possess, without fear. R ACING IN 2010 2010 brought another exciting year of Arabian R acing! We put together a partnership with an entrapanuer from Dubai, Faisal Hammad. Since we were so successful racing in the USA, the partnership decided to send three of the Arabian race horses to Dubai for their winter race meet. We are in great anticipation to see how they may compete against the world’s finest Arabian racing bloodstock. It is our goal to sell our home bred horses internationally. Our first foals from our Stallion, Djet Set De Falgas, will hit the track this spring. So far we like what we are seeing, as, we have them in training at our Texas Ranch, Estrellita. In January, our race trainer Elizabeth Brand will finish out their formal race training and have them ready for the 2011 Colorado meet. O THER 2010 E VENTS In September, we attended an International Racing Conference in Abu Dhabi. How exciting it was meeting like minded people from all over the world who love to race their Arabians. (Next year’s conference will be in Holland). Faisal Hammad, attended with us and made sure we were introduced to the trainer who would race our horses in the UAE and visit Meydan City in Dubai. This racetrack is like no other we have seen. It is where the richest purses in the world, for Thoroughbreds as well as Arabians, are run. So far, living in Colorado for the summer and Texas in the winter has worked out splendidly. Most of the foals are born in Texas and shipped to Colorado, after weaning, to grow up in spacious pastures. The mild South Texas winters and the cool Colorado summers seem to fit us.
