There's three things I've noticed in reading history, that wrecks a minister's life from the start: one of them is money, the love of it. The next is popularity. When he thinks he's something, when he's nothing anyhow. And the next is women. Man takes money, women, popularity. That's been the three major things that God's had trouble with His children.

MONEY:a. In the money. Having a lot of money, especially as a change in circumstances.b. Put your money where your mouth is; to take action to show that you truly mean what you have said.c. Throw money about to spend money in an extravagant, ostentatious way.

POPULARITY:

a. A fact of being well liked

b. Demand for something

WOMEN:

a. Pictures of beautiful women and actresses

b. Photos and videos of models

Many of the other things that goes along with it too. But the main thing is when God begins to bless a brother and give him something a little more than another to help the people, then the man begins to think, "See who I am?" Right then he's on his road down.

You want me to tell you how to get up? Get down. The way up is go down. He that humbles himself, God will exalt. Is that right? He that exalts himself will be made abased.

41 John, his destiny was met like this. He was caught and boiled in a vat of grease for twenty-four hours, of hot boiling grease, and without any harm coming to him. Why, so they tried to boil It out of him, but God wouldn't permit it. And He had a work for him to do. And until God was finished with His man, there's nothing in the world can bother him. As I get older in the ministry now, and about in my twenty-first year. I think, all the time as I go along, that ... The more I think of the Lord Jesus, the more I begin to find out that it's love that covers the whole thing, the love of God, shed abroad in our heart by the Holy Spirit.

E-12 Now, one thing I find out in the church, while there's no, not, maybe, three or four strangers with us, just the little tabernacle, is one thing: It's a lack of love for one another among you. Now, You know me well enough to know that when I know something's wrong, I'm going to come to you.

That's right. Because I'm duty bound to God. And it might have to hurt you, but I'm going to tell you the truth. I'm going to tell you the truth so we can both get straightened out with God, The Bible said, "Agree with thy adversaries quickly. Don't let the sun set on your wrath."

Now, in order to be a correct pastor or minister, you've got to watch your congregation. If you see the enemy coming in, then slip right over here and say, "Here, just a minute, see, now that's the wrong thing." See.

And then you're watching. The Bible said, "Take heed to the flock, to feed the flock, which the Holy Ghost has made you overseer over." Now, if you fail to do that, God is going to make you answer for it, see. That's right. So, that's what we want to do.

The result was Religious Wars & Racism, Spiritual Chaos and Self-Righteous Anarchy.
