Neither delays in cargo operations nor idle stay of the ships due to political situation in the country have been reported. Transshipment of cargoes on the Kerch port anchorage. We got many inquiries and requests for clarifications from the foreign shipowners and charterers as to where the anchorage point for the ships loading in the area near the port of Kerch is located: whether this point is within or out of the 12 miles zone. We are glad to inform you that now we have an answer to this question. The vessels are serviced at the outer roads of the Kerch port within the water area limited by the following coordinates: 1st point 4452.3’ N 03633.5’ E 2nd point 4453.0’ N 03638.5’E 3rd point 4448.1’ N 03638.5’E 4th point 4449.1’ N 03634.0’ E. “ANK” Law Firm, registered in Odessa, acting on behalf of their clients, Messrs. “Transship”, engaged “Ukrhydrographia” state organization to do cartographic jobs and carry out charting of the sea area specified above. This task was successfully performed – now there is a sea chart bearing coordinates of the anchorage services area in the region of the Kerch port. As per the said sea chart it is absolutely evident that the abovementioned anchorage point is located outside the 12 miles zone. We will try to attach reduced copy of the chart to one of our future Notifications (we should find technical opportunity to reduce very large navigational chart to A4 size).
