In the name of AllahThe Beneficent, The Merciful……

As salaam alaikumDear Reader

I pray you are well. Welcome to issue 32 (December 2017)of the Star & Crescent E-zine.

At the time of publication, we recently witnessed MinisterLouis Farrakhan’s Press Conference in Washington DC on16 November 2017 where a final message was delivered toPresident Donald Trump and the US Government to ‘Letmy people go!’ and a final call to Black people. (To befeatured in the next issue).

In the USA, it was Thanksgiving Day quickly followed bythe shopping frenzy called the Black Friday season, wherethe Christmas shopping season follows close behind. Thisis the season where many shoppers will flock to their highstreet cathederals (shopping malls and plazas), submit tothe gods of consumerism (high street brands andcorporations), all in the name of Jesus (Christmas).

The worldwide Black consumer boycott of Christmas isunderway (from 25 November to 2 January). But, if youmust buy a present for your family, tell your children thetruth; that it comes from you. Do not give credit to Santa.Support Black business. Find a Black retailer or businessand support them before spending any of your cash withothers. Teach your family the value of supporting Blackbusiness.

Make sure when spending your money with Blackbusiness, you are satisfied with the customer service. Ifnot, you must advise them to invest in staff training. It isimportant they provide you with good customer service andthe right attitude if you are giving continued support to theireconomic survival. Buy from a Black retailer and help theBlack economy to grow. We have a long way to go. We canstart today and continue into 2018.

Join a campaign or group that actively supports Blackbusiness. The Black pound is more valuable than werealise. Other communities will do everything they can tomaintain the status quo, to prevent the rise of Black peopleand the Black pound. Their job is to stop Black people fromspending their money with Black business. Only oureconomic unity can keep our Black businesses alive andvisible on the high street. Black people will become lessdependent on others (who continue to disrespect us), whenwe spend our money with our own.

Support the Boycott and Support black business.

Minister Louis Farrakhan

The Immeasurable, LimitlessValue and Beauty of a Woman

Editor's  note.  The  following  are  excerpts   from a  SpecialMother's Day Message delivered by Minister Farrakhan onSunday 10 May 2009 at Mosque Maryam in Chicago.

In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful.

The enemy calls today “Mother's Day.” I  don't  know howmany   billions   of   dollars   the   enemy   has   madecommercialising on our natural love for our mothers, but inIslam, every day is a day to honour our mothers.

The commercial nature of the enemy is to make money onJesus   by   celebrating   what   they   call   “Christmas”   and   tomake money on his resurrection, which is the day they call“Easter.” They also make money off of your girlfriend andboyfriend   on   what   is   called   “Valentine's   Day.”   A   smart, crooked deceiver will think of everything they can to makemoney by sucking the blood out of the common people whoare ignorant, and easily taken advantage of.

Women. The Foundation of CivilizationIn  the Holy Qur'an, which  is  the book of  scripture of   theMuslims,   the   4th   Surah   (chapter)   is   titled   AlNisa   TheWomen. Further on, you will see that the 19th Surah, titledMaryam   (Mary),   makes   reference   to   the   very   specialwoman   who   is   the   mother   of   Jesus,   the   Messiah.   ThisQur'an  was  not  arranged haphazardly  —  it  was  divinelyarranged, so each chapter has significance.

The   number   “4”   is   a   foundational   number.   You   can'tbecome president of the United States until you've reachedthe age of “40.” Moses was “40” when he received God'sCommand and he was in the wilderness “40” days. Jesusfasted   “40”  days  and  “40”  nights  and,   consider   the  450years of the Black man and woman's sojourn in America.This number, “4,” signifies that something was and is beingdone to lay a foundation.

Well,  why women? What  is a woman the foundation of?This world in which we live has been destroyed becausethe   woman   has   been   spoiled   and   laid   waste.   TheHonourable Elijah Muhammad taught us that where there

are no decent women, there are no decent men, becausethe woman is the Mother of Civilization.  Civilization is notjudged by the man, civilization is judged by the female.

The Honourable Elijah Muhammad

Man's abasement of womanI   have   travelled   all   over   the  world,   and   I   have  been   incertain parts of the Islamic world where the woman can'tpray in the mosque with the man. In Africa, I saw that menwould   be   in   airconditioned   rooms   saying   their   prayers, while the women were out on the dirt making prostration inthe hot day sun.

But   in  Mecca,  both women and men are at   the Ka'bah, praying.   Shouldn't   that   be   the   example?   What   hashappened to us throughout the world of Islam, that we haveallowed old, cultural traditions to sideswipe the culture ofIslam? The Islamic World needs reform. When you look atour  world  of   Islam, we as elder  Muslims,  see that  we'relosing our children to the world. The Christian World alsoneeds to be reformed in its expression of women and eventhe  Jewish  World  needs   reform.  Why?  It   is  because anignorant woman is the death of a nation.

Mecca, Arabia

How   can   any   man   be   afraid   to   educate   a   woman   anddeprive one of God's creatures of the gift of knowledge, if

The Star and Crescent Ezine                                                                                                  December 2017: Issue 32thestarandcrescent19.wordpress.com                                                                                                                        3

we say we believe that Allah (God) is “The Supreme Being”and introduces Himself to us as “The Best Knower”?

Women are devalued in this society. It is heartbreaking todrive down certain streets in major cities and see beautifulwomen of every colour, of every race, half nude and sellingthemselves to anyone who would purchase pleasure fromthem. Women have fallen so low, and it doesn't seem thatwe, as men, care, because some will put our women up tothis kind of behaviour for the sake of money.

Once men are taught the knowledge of God, and the valueof   a   woman,   then   men   will   kill   to   keep   her   safe!   Butbecause you don't know her value, or yours, you play withher, devalue her, and laugh at her. How can she open herknees to you, and you impregnate her, and then walk away— without even a thought of responsibility?

When   I   was   a   young   Muslim,   working   in   a   store   inElmhurst, New York, I saw two white policemen beating ayoung Black girl. It was my job to keep the store open, butwhen I saw those police beating that woman, I left the storeand   challenged   the   police.   These   police   thought   I   wascrazy and, evidently,   to  them,  I  was — but  I  was “crazyenough” to try to protect a female. I warned them, with noF.O.I.   (Fruit   of   Islam)   around   me,   because   Allah   wassufficient for me “Don't put your hand on her!” They put herin the car, and I went down to the station to make sure theydidn't!

Now,  what  gives a man  that  kind of  strength,  where hedoesn't fear death? 1. It is love for your people; and 2. It isknowledge   of   the   value   of   what   that   policeman   wasdesecrating.

Woman. The SecondSelf of The CreatorWho   are   you,   Black   woman?   Do   you   really   know   howvalued you are in the Sight of your Creator? In the HolyQur'an, Surah 4, verse 1, there is a very beautiful scripturethat reads “O people,  keep your duty to your Lord, Whocreated you from a single being and created its mate of thesame (kind),  and spread from these two many men andwomen.   And   keep   your   duty   to   Allah,   by   Whom   youdemand one of another (your rights), and (to) the ties ofrelationship. Surely Allah is ever a Watcher over you.”

Here, the Arabic word nafs is translated as “being.” OtherQur'anic scholars translate nafs to mean soul, or, essence.But if Allah created us from a single essence, what is thatessence?   How   could   Allah   create   man   as   His   khalifah(successor),   and   the   essence   of   that   man   is   not   theEssence of Him Who created man? Biblically speaking, youcan't say that man and woman are created in the imageand the likeness of God, and the Essence of God is not inyou.

Why the subject, “The Limitless, Immeasurable Value andBeauty of a Woman”? Some women may look in the mirror, and   think,   “Oh,   I   am   not   so   pretty.”   They   may   not   beconsidered physically attractive, but physical attractivenessis not beauty, that  is why I am teaching on the limitless,immeasurable value and beauty of all women. The beautyof the woman is the matchless beauty of God. This is youon the inside.

The Qur'an says that Allah is “not begotten, nor does Hebeget.”   He   is   SelfCreated.   The   Honourable   ElijahMuhammad   teaches   that   Allah   (God),   in   His   LimitlessWisdom and  Power,   created  Himself   in  Triple  Darknessand   that   we   don't   know   how  long   it   took   Him  becausenothing was there to measure time. God created Himself,and then studied Himself and out of Himself He made aSecond Self. Sisters, you are from Allah (God).

The Sacredness of The WombIn  my study  of   the  act  of   “birth”  and  “creation,”   there   isalways pain involved in the Creative Process. Allah (God)made each one of us a witness of Himself, so mothers, youhave   nothing   to   do   with   the   babies   that   form   in   yourwombs. What is being formed in your womb is like a selfcreation after the Order of God!

Sperm meets egg

There  is an  intelligence in  the sperm that seeks the eggbecause   it   is   looking   for   something.   How   could   it   be“looking   for   something”   that   it   didn't   know   what   it   waslooking at? And Who's intelligence is in the sperm when itseeks   the  egg  to   form  the   first  cell  of   life?   It's  not  yourintelligence — you didn't  know what  was going on!   It   isGod's Intelligence. His Essence.

The   scriptures   below   bear   witness   that   Allah   (God)   isworking in the womb “Such is the Knower of the unseenand the seen, the Mighty, the Merciful, Who made beautifuleverything that He created, and He began the creation ofman from dust. Then He made his progeny of an extract, ofworthless   water.   Then   He   made   him   complete   andbreathed into him of His spirit, and gave you ears and eyesand hearts; little  it  is that you give thanks!” (Holy Qur'an,Surah 32, verses 69)

“O people, if you are in doubt about the Resurrection, thensurely We created you from dust,  then from a small  lifegerm, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh, completein make and incomplete, that We may make clear to you.And We cause what We please to remain in the wombs tillan appointed time, then We bring you forth as babies, thenthat you may attain your maturity. And of you is he who iscaused to die, and of you is he who is brought back to theworst part of life, so that after knowledge he knows nothing.And thou seest the earth barren, but when We send downthereon water, it stirs and swells and brings forth a beautiful(growth) of every kind.” (Holy Qur'an, Surah 22, verse 5)

The Star and Crescent Ezine                                                                                                  December 2017: Issue 32thestarandcrescent19.wordpress.com                                                                                                                        4

See how sacred  the woman's womb is? No man shouldhave access to the sacredness of your womb unless thatman is worthy — not because he's “cute,” not because he's“popular,”  and  not  because  he  has  a   little  money.  Yourwomb is too precious to throw it away.

Respect, Control and ProtectionSatan is always after the woman, because his desire is tocreate   an  adverse   world.  He   can't   bring   the  man   downunless   he   goes   through   the   woman,   so   Satan   has   tobeguile and deceive the woman. Because the woman is sosacred, this is why, in his Saviour's Day address in 1957,the Honourable Elijah Muhammad taught the subject “TheRespect,  Control  and  Protection  of   the  SoCalled  NegroWoman.”

Brothers,  you can never  protect  a  woman that  you can'tcontrol. And Sisters, I  know some of you may think, “Noman is gonna control me!” But wait, you are not going tomind being controlled if  the man is under The Control ofGod.

God regulates the affairs of everything that He creates, andHe does it  by means of Law, so when He takes womanfrom man and gives the woman to the man as His SecondSelf, God also gives the man the responsibility to maintainher in all aspects of her creation. A good woman doesn'tmind a man's  exercise of  control,   if   that  man  is  a  goodmaintainer of her. A man under The Control of God is notgoing to be wicked in the way he exercises his authority.He will be just, he will be fair. A good husband will listen tohis   wife   and   when   truth   is   spoken   from   his   wife,   thehusband will bow to truth — not to her biology, but to thefact that she is telling the truth, because truth is uppermostin the mind of a true servant of God!

When Satan gets  a hold of   the woman, he encourages,exacerbates and makes mischief with her natural power togive consolation and solace to a man. The woman that hasbeen captured by Satan is so different from the Woman ofGod.

The Value of Virtuous Women and GirlsWomen know the beauty of   their  form,  their breasts andbuttocks are embellishments of their bodies, and are veryattractive  to the eye of a man. As young girls come intopuberty, and they see their form developing, they will try tobe in the presence of boys and men to test the power ofattraction they are just beginning to discover. This is whywe do not allow our girls in the presence of men, becausewhen they begin to discover their powers of attraction, theywant to see just how attractive they are. Now Satan hasentered our homes, and is creeping up into our young girlswho are just beginning to know their power of attraction,but not their value.

The Bible teaches that a virtuous woman is more preciousthan silver and gold. How many virtuous women are in theworld that we live in today? Is it just a thing of the past?Girls are having sex as young as the age of 8! But look atwhat the Honourable Elijah Muhammad said. “There's nosuch  thing as a nogood woman. Every nogood womanwas made nogood by a nogood man.”

When a man — a good man — sees a young girl whosebody  is  forming and  that  girl   is   trying  to  attract  him,   thegood  man  will   look  away,  because  he   realizes   that   thisbeautiful child does not know her value. This child's value isnot   in  her  bosom, her  value  is  not   in  her  buttocks.  Hervalue is not in the prettiness of her face. Her value is in theBeauty of God that is hidden within her, which has to becultivated.

The Ka'bah

‘A Precious Corner Stone, A Sure Foundation'Allah (God), through The Messiah and The Mahdi, wants tomake a new people out of us. In Mecca, the Ka'bah, whichis   the   Kiblah   (Spiritual   Center)   of   Muslims,   features   asimple cube of stone that  is called the “Black Stone.” AllMuslims who are blessed to go to Mecca want to kiss theBlack Stone, following in the way of Prophet Muhammad(Peace Be Upon Him).  The Ka'bah  is an Ancient Housethat is a sign of something bigger than itself.

You are a stone. I am a stone. We are stones, mortaredtogether in the Love of Allah, His Messenger [and] Islam.This  is what makes us into an impenetrable building thatbecomes the Real House of God.

Touching the Holy black Stone of the Ka’bah

As  most  Muslims  are  amazed  by   the  beauty  of  Mecca,Mecca is not more beautiful than you. Which building madeby   the   hands   of   man   equals   in   beauty   the   buildingfashioned   by  Allah?   There  are   none.  You   are   the   RealHouse of God, so in the end times, The Mahdi is going to

The Star and Crescent Ezine                                                                                                  December 2017: Issue 32thestarandcrescent19.wordpress.com                                                                                                                        5

fashion   The   Kingdom   of   Islam   from   a   “Black   Stone,”   astone that is like the Guide Stone, the Corner Stone. TheBible   calls   it   a   “precious   corner   stone”   laid   in   Zion.“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zionfor a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not makehaste.” (Isaiah 28:16)

Sisters, The Mahdi, or, The Messiah, can't make a new andholy people without making a new and holy woman. Youare   the   candidates   for   that.   You   are   candidates   to   be,again, the Women of God.

The Woman and The DragonI want you to study Proverbs 10:1, which reads: “… a wiseson maketh a glad father but a foolish son is the heavinessof his mother.” This is how valuable a woman is in makinggreat men.

I didn't have a father, but I had a great mother. My motherwas a strong woman. My brother and me — we didn't getany checks from our fathers. My father never bought me asmuch as a shoelace, but  I   thank Allah for him, becausewithout him, I wouldn't be. He did nothing for me, but, mymother She did it all.

My   mother   was   not   a   foolish   woman.   I   never   saw   mymother   engaged   in   foolishness.   I   never   got   out   of   bedbefore my mother did. And, when she put me to bed, shewas still working. My mother didn't care if the men in her lifedid   not   support   her   children.   She   said   she   would   do   itherself. And when my mother would beat me, she alwaysdid so for a principle. One of the things that she would beatme for, more than anything that I did, was when I lied aboutwhat I did. Because I couldn't fool her, she would trap me inmy lie, beat me for what I did, and then, beat the hell out ofme for the lie! What was she doing? See, she was beatinginto me a love for truth. She was making me into a manthat would not be afraid of the consequences of telling thetruth. God cannot use you if you fear men as we ought tofear  Allah!   If  we were  unafraid,  we could   raise  a  nationbetter than what we are doing.

Please study the 12th Chapter of the Book of Revelation.This scripture teaches us of a Dragon that is after a certaintype of woman pregnant with a man child that will rule thenations with a rod of iron.

As a mother, you should want to be like the woman that theDragon was after. But sisters, sometimes you are too weakto make a man child for God because you compromise toomuch   with   that   which   devalues   you.   You   are   full   offoolishness sitting in front of the television, watching thesesilly  programs such as  “reality  shows” and music videosthat exploit women. What do you get out of it except thatwhich makes you more and more foolish? You're going tohave to be stronger than you are now, because you aremuch too weak by compromising with a world that God istaking out.

Look at your children and how very special they are thesedays.  Have you noticed how smart   they  are? Have younoticed   the   level   of   intelligence   they   have?   Have   younoticed the curiosity in these children? But if they have a

weak mother, a foolish mother, she'll involve these childrenin foolish pursuit.

Become a Woman and Mother Like Unto MaryamMay Allah bless the womb of every one of you, my dearsisters,   who   are   expecting.   Do   not   engage   in   a   lot   offoolishness as you are making new life, because you willbe marking your baby with foolishness.

Be serious about  the life  that  is growing within you! Youcan make it into a likeness of God! In the Book of Psalms itteaches “Ye are all gods, children of the most high God” —but it's going to take a strong mother to make a child likethat. Don't doubt yourself, you do have this ability — youjust have to start now putting off foolishness!

Fill  your head with knowledge! The more knowledge youhave, the more you can see something great for what  isgrowing within you. And with the knowledge you acquire,you will be able to project it onto the one that is growingwithin you! Then, this child coming from your womb will beborn to achieve.

This is why the Nation of Islam's flagship mosque here inChicago — Mosque Maryam — is named after the motherof Jesus, one of the greatest human beings that ever lived.I call it Mosque Maryam because for everyone that entersthrough these doors, I want to make you pregnant with anidea   that   is  bigger   than   the   foolishness  of   the  world   inwhich we live. And when that idea gestates and grows inyour mind, as you go back out into this crazy world, you willgo out as a Saviour! As a Deliverer!

So from this day forward, make no merchandise of  yourwomen and girls. Treat them with respect and honour —even   if   you   think   they   don't   deserve   it   —   becauseunderneath all of their foolishness, they are still God's child.

May Allah bless each and every one of  you! AsSalaamAlaikum!

Up With Jesus Down With $antaBy Richard B Muhammad and Charlene Muhammad  Final Call [posted December 2016]

Holiday decorations are up,  Christmas songs  ring out   instores across the country, and “chaching” sounds emanatefrom cash registers, but don’t be fooled, because many fedup with injustice, police violence and racism are rejectingspending, commercial overkill and debt this holiday season.

Minister Louis Farrakhan

Echoing a call by the Honourable Minister Louis Farrakhanof   the  Nation  of   Islam,  many Black  activists  and  othersagreed it’s time to boycott as Season 2 of “Up With Jesus!Down  With  Santa!”  moved  forward.  The goal   is   to   curbshopping until 2 January 2017.

By   strategically  engaging   in  economic   withdrawal,  Blackpeople can begin putting power behind their demands andbuild a new and better reality, Minister Farrakhan stated inthe run up to Justice or Else!, the 20th Anniversary of theMillion Man March in Washington, D.C. in October 2015.

“The   widespread   death,   rising   racism,   mob   attacks   andpolice   brutality   on   Black   people   coupled   with   economicdeprivation and stark poverty, requires that something mustbe immediately done to address and correct the condition. The   failure   of   the   US   government   to   give   justice   to   itsformer slaves requires that we present ourselves in unity tomake the demand for Justice or Else!” Minister Farrakhanstated.

“Let us start by not spending money we either don’t have orcannot afford during the Christmas season. Why should wemake the merchants rich by their wicked manipulation andexploitation of   the emotions of  children,  parents,   familiesand  those we  love,  with   their  pagan practices  that  havenothing to do with the celebration and observance of therighteous servant of God, Jesus?”

Take the day, the entire season, to give thanks to God forthe gift of Jesus, share that great gift of God and what hetaught, Minister Farrakhan instructed.

Advocates and organizers had been waging online and onthe ground battles  for   justice with  petitions and protests, and those have been effective, but the impact has grownwith   a   focus   on   Main   Street   [the   high   street]   andmerchants.   Minister   Farrakhan,   for   example,   called   onBlack people to pool their $1 trillion purchasing power tobuild institutions and create jobs for their people.

Justice   or   Else!   demands   an   immediate   end   to   policebrutality   and   mob   attacks   and   justice   for   the   NativeAmerican Indians, the Mexican and Latinos, for women, thepoor, the incarcerated, and veterans, and, it means land,said the Minister. “I personally believe that 2017 will be thebest year for Black people, maybe ever, because to me themost   exciting   part   is   we   have   the   ability   now   tocommunicate   with   each   other   without   asking   for   whitepeople’s   permission,”   said   Dr   Boyce   Watkins,   a   Blackauthor, economist, political analyst and entrepreneur.

Dr Boyce Watkins

The Star and Crescent Ezine                                                                                                  December 2017: Issue 32thestarandcrescent19.wordpress.com                                                                                                                        7

“I  don’t   think Donald Trump is going to be as friendly  incertain   elements   of   political   justice   as   the   Obamaadministration was,” he explained. “Unfortunately, there area lot of Black people who are motivated by fear, and there’salmost nothing they’re afraid of more right now than DonaldTrump and the Trump administration. So now they realiseall   they’ve   ever   had   was   people   like   Minister   LouisFarrakhan   and   others,   who   can   provide   a   type   ofleadership that’s far more authentic to what Black peopleare trying to do.”

Economically,   Black   people   are   gaining   by   leaps   andbounds every year, due to the development of technologyand awareness, he said. They’re moving closer to a worldin which Black people will spend hundreds of billions moremoney in their own communities, support each other, andconnect   emotionally,   psychologically,   politically   andintellectually, Dr Watkins predicted.

‘Everybody boycotts us’“I   think   that   we   should   certainly   boycott   all   the   timebecause everybody boycotts us. Trade is supposed to be atwoway street, and Americans have turned it into being aoneway street. They look at us and say ‘Negroes give usall   your  money,  and we will  give  you  nothing,’  and   thatdoesn’t make any sense,” said Dr Watkins.

Boycotts   are   a   natural   reaction   for   anyone   who   has   agrievance, Dr Watkins continued. But, he said, even deeperthan that Black people could consider alternative languagethat would achieve the same result. Rather than motivatingourselves   by   rejecting   something   that   other   people   aredoing,   we   should   motivate   ourselves   by   accepting   whatwe’re doing, he argued.

“I   don’t   really   get   up   every   morning   thinking   ‘I’mma   goboycott white folks.’ I wake up every day thinking, ‘I’mmago love me some Black people, and after I get done lovingmy own people, who need so much love, I ain’t got no morelove for nobody else,’ ” Dr Watkins said.

“It’s like taking care of your own children. Does a motherget up in the morning and say, ‘I’mma boycott babysittingother  people’s  kids’  or  does she say,   ‘my kids need thebest that I can offer, and maybe if I have something left, Imight do something for your children, but I got seven kidsand I ain’t got time for all of that.’ ”

Dr Watkins said,   “It’s  not  really radical   for  us  to do  this. We’re claiming back to normalcy, because we’ve been insuch   an   abnormal,   such   an   abusive,   such   a   terroristicenvironment, we’ve really endured the equivalent of a Naziholocaust   every   year   for   400   years,   and   even   peoplewho’ve gone through what we’ve gone through for just 5 or6   years   or   were   traumatized   for   an   entire   century,   soimagine what we’re feeling?”

Perhaps   people   could   come   up   with   another   term   forboycott, Dr Watkins said. There is one. It’s called the BuyBlack Movement. The movement recognizes Black peopleare linked to great economists, even postslavery, such asBlack Wall Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Black businessowners’   economy   boasted   $2   million   a   day,   that   todaywould be the equivalent of $25 billion, said Student MinisterTony Muhammad,  the Nation of   Islam’s Western RegionRepresentative.

A white mob burned the area in Tulsa’s Greenwood Districtto the ground in 1921 during race riots. The only remnant ofBlack Wall Street is a memorial brick holding all the namesof the businesses burned, he said.

Student Minister Tony Muhammad

“I   didn’t   realize   that   that   area   was   so   vast,   it   was   sothriving, that we had our own transit system. There was abrother who was manufacturing and making buses. Theywere   manufacturing,   yes,   their   own   cars.   Black   people,their own airplanes. Black Wall Street, they had hospitals.They had schools. They had manufacturing plants in everydirection,   they   owned   it   all.   Banks,   theatres,”   TonyMuhammad said.

The Millennials love the Buy Black Movement because theyview this as an opportunity to hit  back at oppression, he

“That means we aim to help create so many prosperousBlackowned businesses, and create  levels of  productionso high, that the Black community becomes permanentlywealthy and nothing, not even a bad economy, can bringus down,” the company added.

“We have to disrupt it. If we think about what this system is,the election of Donald Trump really embodies that system,and so we have to be active. We have to engage. We have

to   disrupt,   and,   at   the   same   time,   we   have   to   buildalternative models,” Dr Abdullah said.

“If   we   think   about   what   we’re   doing   now   and   workbackwards, we are in a period of Black XMAS, where we’resaying we have to divest from white corporations while atthe same time build our own economic power,” she said.

Message to the Blackman

ISLAM

What is Islam? While teaching and representing a religion called “Islam” toyou, the first important thing to do is to answer thequestions: What is Islam? Who is the author? Who are itsprophets and people? Such questions could be answeredin a few words or one could make books out of theanswers. Briefly, “Islam” means entire submission to theWill of Allah (God). It is, moreover, a significant name. Itsprimary significance is the making of peace, and the idea of“Peace” is the dominant idea in Islam.

The author of Islam is Allah (God). We just cannot imagineGod being the author of any other religion but one ofpeace. Since peace is the very nature of Allah (God)andpeace He seeks for his people and peace is the nature ofthe righteous, most surely Islam is the religion of peace. Itis the religion offered to the people to bring about a peaceof mind and contentment after the destroyers of peace withfalsehoods have been destroyed. The entire creation ofAllah (God) is of peace, not including the devils who are notthe creation of Allah (God) but a race created by an enemy(Yakub) of Allah. Yakub rebelled against Allah and therighteous people and was cast out of the homes of therighteous into the worst part of our planet to live their wayof life until the fixed day of doom.

These enemies of Allah (God) are known at the present asthe white race or the European race, who are the solepeople responsible for misleading nine-tenths of the totalpopulation of the Black nation.

The prophets of Islam include: Noah, Abraham, Moses,Jesus, Job, David, Solomon, and Jonah. The people ofIslam are the Black people, and their numbers are made upof the brown, yellow and red people, called races. TheBook of Islam is the Holy Qur’an Sharrieff, and thescriptures that were brought by the above-mentionedprophets were of Islam.

The Bible does not mention Islam by name as the religionof the prophets, nor does it give us the name of any of thedivine prophets’ religions. By not teaching the reader thename of the former prophets’ religion, yet giving the nameof Christianity to what Jesus taught, it leaves the reader to

seek the name of the religion of the former prophets fromAdam to Muhammad. The followers or believers of Islamare over one-half billion people. Even among the infidelsyou will find many who confess Islam, although by naturethey are against Islam. If I teach or preach a religionclaiming its origin is from Allah (God), I must prove it, and ifyou oppose it with another religion which you claim hasGod as its author, then you must prove your claim. Areligion whose origin or roots cannot be found in theuniversal order of God cannot be said to be the religion ofGod. The first prophet of God and His scripture must bethat of the true religion of God.

Islam has five beautiful fundamental principles of belief. The most essential of them all is “The belief in One God.”This was the belief (Oneness of God) and preachings ofthe prophets of God from Noah to Muhammad (the last). AsI have said, if your religion’s roots are not found in theuniversal order of things, it is not from Allah (God). I defyany opposer to prove the religion (as we know it today)called Christianity to be the religion of God and Hisprophets Noah, Abraham, Lot, Moses, David and Jesus.

What is Islam? It has been answered in one word –righteousness. Briefly, it is the religion of Allah (God) andHis Prophets. Islam is as old as Allah (God) Himself and isthe religion of which Allah (God) is the author. Islam is thereligion of Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad(the last). Islam is the religion of entire submissionto the willof Allah (God). Islam is the religion which the Holy Qur’anteaches.

Allah (God) says, “This day I have perfected for you yourreligion, completed my favour on you and chosen for youIslam as a religion” (Chapter 5:3). Allah (God) also says inanother chapter of the Holy Qur’an, “Surely the truereligionwith Allah is Islam” (Chapter 3:18).

The significance of the name “Islam” is peace, the truereligion. It is a religion of eternal peace. We cannot imagineAllah (God) offering to us a religion other than one ofpeace. A religion of peace coming to the righteous after thedestruction of the wicked is also mentioned in severalplaces in the Bible: The Lord will bless His people withpeace.” (Psa 29:11): also, “He will speak peace unto Hispeople and to His saints” (Psa 35:8) and “the Lord of peacegives you peace always” (II Thess. 3:16).

Islam is the religion referred to in the above-mentionedBiblical verses. It is the only religion that gives the believera peace of mind and contentment. It removes grief and fearat once on the believing: “Yea, whoever submits himselfentirely to Allah and he is the doer of good to others, hehas his reward from his Lord, and there is no fear for him,nor shall he grieve” (Holy Qur’an 2:112).

Allah invites to the abode of of peace (Holy Qur’an 10:25).Can you imagine a divine prophet being sent with anythingother than a religion of peace to his people? Our people, the so-called American Negroes will love Islam when theylearn more of it. For it is the religion of their fathersand it isthe last of the three great religions on earth. The other two,Buddhism and Christianity, cannot give us a lasting peace. We have tried them to our disappointment.

Christianity is on of the most perfect Black-slave-makingreligions on our planet. It has completely killed the so-called Negroes mentally. Now it takes Allah (God) Himself

The Star and Crescent Ezine                                                                                                  December 2017: Issue 32thestarandcrescent19.wordpress.com                                                                                                                        11

to revive and restore our people back into their own.Though I am his Messenger, and Allah can use my life asHe pleases for them, they are my people and many – whileI am only one.

Islam will give them the heaven while they live. Islam hasmore to offer than the white-controlled Christianity. Islam isuniversal. The true believers of Islam are equal in numberto the total population of the whites on our planet (400million). By nature, all members of the Black nation areMuslims (lovers of peace), whose number is over the billionmark.

We must have Islam as our religion to restore our peaceafter suffering under the slavery, the persecutors, and thegrief of wars for 6,000 years. The so-called Negroes ofAmerica, who have never known the way of peace, whohave never had love or mercy shown to them, today haveAllah (God).

The God of mercy is on their side in the religion of Islam. But they are so dumb about it that it hurts my very heart. Iam not surprised at what disbelievers think and say of me,but when a supposed brother Muslim joins the disbelieversagainst what I write, then I am surprised. For no trueMuslim will speak against another Muslim to the delight ofthe disbelieveing people of Allah and His prophets and thereligion of Islam.

Meaning of Islam Entire submission to the Will of Allah (God), the religion ofAllah (God), and His prophets is the natural religion of therighteous (Holy Qur’an 30:30), which will dominate all otherreligions (Holy Qur’an 61:8-9). “Surely the true religion ofAllah (God) is Islam” (Holy Qur’an 3:18). Can we say this ofother religions? Does the Bible give us any prophecy thatChristianity will finally rule and dominate the whole world?Islam is the religion which the Holy Qur’an teaches. Theholy Qur’an is a book which white christianity never hasand probably never will introduce to the so-called Negroes. They love you to read the book (Bible) which they havefixed for you and desire that you never be able tounderstand it (though the original of the Bible was true). The Jews are charged with tampering with the originalscripture (adding to and taking from it). The christians arecharged with poisoning the original scripture, called theGospel of Jesus.

Islam means salvation to each and every one who believesin it. To the American so-called Negroes, it is the masterkey which opens wide every door locked against them. Thedoor of universal friendship with the Creator and HisCreatures swings wide open to you and the doors offreedom, justice and equality. All the believers of Islam arethe brothers of the others unlike Christianity, where the withChristians are too proud to make the Black people theirequal.

Since the so-called Negroes never were recognised bywhite Protestant Christianity as equal members, theyflocked to the Catholic church to join it, running from agarter snake to a rattlesnake. The garter snake runs fromthem, the rattlesnake swallows them. They know nothing ofthe true religion (Islam) of God and care very little, bacausetheir minds are to be whatever the white race’s minds are.

Christianity has no power for the Negroes against theirenemies. Islam is a powerful religion. If the so-calledNegroes of the South, or america in general, would acceptAllah and His religion, Islam, their dreaded fear of the whiteman’s brutality and murder would be over. Allah will defendthe believers of Islam. The believers are united againsttheir enemies. For every Islamic believing so-called Negroin America, there are 100 Muslim brothers on his side. Thismeans if the whole 17 million so-called Negroes werebelievers in Islam, their would be 17 million of their peoplewith them as brothers and sisters.

Allah’s (God) finding of the lost members of the Blacknation is more valuable in His eyes than the whole world ofmankind., and even they are very valuable in the eyes ofany Asiatic Muslim. The finding of the so-called Negroes byAllah (God) means the end of the present world and thebeginning of a new world under the guidance of Allah(God).

The   consensus   among   the   group   of religious   leaders, human rights advocates, tertiary students, and civilians thatgathered   is   that   the   mandatory   system   is   a   breach   ofprivacy, a basic human right.

Pastor of the Portmore Holiness Christian Church BishopAlvin Bailey said that the Government was not sending apositive   message   by   choosing   to   proceed   with   the   billwithout engaging major stakeholders and the citizenry.

London Study GroupRoad trip to Sheffield

21 October 2017

Brother Leo Muhammad addressing the local community in Sheffield

During Black History Month 2017 Brothers and Sisters ofthe Nation of Islam London Study Group were invited tomeet members of the local Black community in Sheffield,South Yorkshire (approximately 170 miles north of London).

The theme of the address was called Unity and Strength.Brother Leo Muhammad thanked the organiser SisterYvonne for inviting the Nation of Islam London Study Groupto Sheffield.

(L to R) Brother Leo Muhammad and Brother Clidd Muhammad

He addressed the Black man and woman’s truerelationship with the Supreme Being needs to be re-

established. The world’s biggest secret is the true identityof the Black man. He is the direct descentant from AlmightyGod Himself. The Black man today must obatin the trueknowledge about his identity, his history and his rightfulplace in the scriptures.

As a people, the original Black man’s and woman’s havebeen destroyed due to the lack of knowledge of ourselves. The true identity of Black people has been withheld forseveral generations by organised secret societies. TheFreemasons and the Illuminati constantly study everythingthey can about the Black man and woman because theyknow our true identity. We are the direct descendants of thetrue and living God.

We must obtain the true knowledge of who we are andpass that on to our children. At one time, in the Caribbean,no Black man ever addressed any person as ‘Nigger.’ Itnever happened. But today, after copying the lifestyles inthe USA, young people call each other ‘Nigger,’ ‘Dog,’‘Home-boy,’ ‘Fly-girl.’ We are being depicted as savagesand many of us are playing into the media steroetype.

(L to R) Brother Darren Muhammad and Brother Clidd Muhammad

Brother Leo Muhammad stressed how important it is for theBlack man and woman to change their names. The nameswe wear such as Smith, Jones, Green, Robinson, White. How can Black people ever be respected anywhere aroundthe world when wearing somebody else’s name? As longas you wear a European name, the white man still ownsyou.

Brother Leo Muhammad referred to the strength of theChinese and the Indian communities. He stressed howthese communities understand unity. From their unity is the

source of their power. You see it in Chinatown or whateverdistrict they control in the city.

Black people are likened to the prodigal son in the Bible, where (we as a people), we left our Father’s home andwent to live among a strange people in a strange land.Living among these strange people, experiencing andsuffering the harsh trials of this world, we are being forcedto return to our Father’s house. This means we mustchange the way we think and it is our current state ofthinking that is hurting us.

Everything that Black people have owned, we’ve givenaway. For example, The Notting Hill Carnival started inresponse to the problems Black people were experiencingin West London in the 1950’s and 1960’s. But today, theNotting Hill Carnival is owned and sponsored by multi-national Corporations.

Brother Leo Muhammad and Sister Yvonne (host)

We must learn and re-learn to love one another. Pointing tohis hair (or the lack thereof), nose, thick lips, skin colour,Brother Leo told the audience how much he is in love withwhat Allah (God) has blessed him with. He added that thereare many white people today who wished they had beenborn with Black people’s physical attributes.

In their hatred of Black people, many white people will rushto the beach to get a suntan. Black people must neverapologise for being who they are.

Brother Leo Muhammad emphasised the need to regularlycommunicate with one another. From this first meetingorganised by Sister Yvonne, in Sheffield, the spirit of Blackunity must and will grow.

No man is an island. Black people must repair theirrelationships with one another if we are to move forwardcollectively as a community. The Black man can only besuccessful with the Black woman and the black woman canonly be successful with the Black man.

Every relationship is not without its fair share of stormyweather. Every relationship must be put through trials totest the strength, the sacrifice and the commitment of bothof the persons in that relationship.

Sagging pants of todaycould hurry hipreplacements of

Michael Gerdine, spine expert

By Sandra Jordan

Some of the same activities and behaviours that can causedisease can cause health problems in your bones,  jointsand your neuromuscular system. “For every one pound ofweight that you gain, you put three pounds of pressure onyour knees, so the opposite of that is, for every pound thatyou   lose,   you   take   three   pounds   of   pressure   off   yourknees.”

Spine  expert  Chiropractor  Michael  Gerdine  of  West  EndChiropractic said when it comes to wellness, the approachshould be proactive rather than reactive.  “There are manystresses   in   life   that   contribute   to   illness,   whether   it   bestresses from work, family, job, poor diets, lack of exercise,not getting enough rest” Gerdine said. “All of those thingslead to problems with the nervous system, due to what wecall in chiropractic care ‘subluxations.’”

Subluxations occur when the body’s infrastructure gets outof alignment. “Its bones out of place irritating the nerves,”Gerdine said. “Subluxations are caused by – I call them thethree T's

• Trauma   –   which   could   be   an   accident,   sportsinjury,   repetitive   motion   on   the   job,   weekendwarrior stuff;

• Thoughts – which would be stressrelated; and

• Toxins – bad food, poor diet. Medications can betoxic   to   the   human   body,   bad   air,   recreationaldrugs,   cigarette   smoke,   all   of   those   things   aretoxic.”

The   Missouri   Chiropractors   Association   describessubluxations as a response to stress, causing the musclesto spasm, spinal bones to lock up and choking or chaffingnerves.   Nerve   impulses   communicate   messages   to   thebrain and throughout the body through your spine. If there’s

a hitch somewhere in the nervous system, it will manifestas   some   type   of   health   problem.   “Most   of   us   havesubluxations and don’t even know we have them,” Gerdinesaid.

Crook neck

He said  that  occasional  “crook  in   the neck”  or  stiff  backwhen you wake up in the morning – subluxations. “It couldbe because you slept wrong or  it  could be because youhold the telephone at work with your shoulder cocked up onthe   phone   and   one   of   the   contributing   factors   tosubluxations, a big one – is posture,” he said. “Most humanbeings have bad posture and people who are sedentaryhave even worse posture.”

Think of this balancing act, poorly postured humans withbowling balls sitting on top of the smallest area of the spinalcolumn.

Text neck pain

“Most people don’t realise that our heads weigh about thesame as  a  bowling  ball  –  between 10  and 15  pounds,”

The Star and Crescent Ezine                                                                                                  December 2017: Issue 32thestarandcrescent19.wordpress.com                                                                                                                        19

Gerdine explained. “The cervical spine – the neck, thoseare  the smallest  bones  in  the vertebral  column and nowyou have this head that is leaning forward and that’s puttinga lot of pressure on those bones and it can cause problemsover time.” Gerdine said the boom in tech gadgetry that haspeople looking down at their cellphones, tablets and otherpersonal  devices will  wind up being a major  pain  in   theneck.

“You can rest assured that there is going to be an epidemicof neck problems with headaches, tension in the shoulders, pain between the shoulder blades, pain radiating into thearms,” Gerdine said, “and a lot of it is going to be due tothis repetitive motion that we have developed to exist in theworld today.”

Sagging pants – a potential source of back problems

Although not so high tech, a lowhanging fashion statementof  the millennials,  hiphoppers and  the “OGs” who try  todress like them may come back to bite when where the sundidn’t  use  to  shine.  “These young men who are walkingaround with   their  pants  sagging  –  you  can rest  assuredthere’s   going   to   be   an   epidemic   of   hip   replacementsbecause the way they have to alter  their  gait  and swingthose legs to keep those pants up – they are wearing thehip joints out,” Gerdine said.

Sagging pants get blamed for a number of health issues, from urological and sexual dysfunction to severe postureand   bone   growth   deformities.  Gerdine   said   seeing   achiropractor is the conservative approach to wellness. “Weare   going   to   look   at   the   bony   structures,   the   musculoskeletal   system   to   try   to   prevent   people   from   going   tosurgery and using all the different drugs with the major sideeffects they may have,” Gerdine said. “We are interested inpeople doing  functional  health.  My goal   is   to get  peopledoing the things they are supposed to do, that they want todo, the right way.”

The   American   Chiropractic   Association   says   chiropracticservices are included in most health insurance plans and isalso available to activeduty members of the armed forcesat more than 60 military bases and is available to veteransat 36 major veterans medical facilities.

The Honourable Elijah Muhammad

What the Muslims want 1. We want freedom. We want a full and completefreedom.

2. We want justice. Equal justice under the law. We wantjustice applied equally to all, regardless of creed or class orcolour.

3. We want equality of opportunity. We want equalmembership in society with the best in civilized society.

4. We want our people in America whose parents orgrandparents were descendants from slaves, to be allowedto establish a separate state or territory of their own–eitheron this continent or elsewhere. We believe that our formerslave masters are obligated to provide such land and thatthe area must be fertile and minerally rich. We believe thatour former slave masters are obligated to maintain andsupply our needs in this separate territory for the next 20 to25 years – until we are able to produce and supply our ownneeds. Since we cannot get along with them in peace andequality, after giving them 400 years of our sweat andblood and receiving in return some of the worst treatmenthuman beings have ever experienced, we believe ourcontributions to this land and the suffering forced upon usby white America, justifies our demand for completeseparation in a state or territory of our own.

5. We want freedom for all Believers of Islam now held infederal prisons. We want freedom for all Black men andwomen now under death sentence in innumerable prisonsin the North as well as the South. We want every Blackman and woman to have the freedom to accept or rejectbeing separated from the slave master’s children andestablish a land of their own. We know that the above planfor the solution of the Black and white conflict is the bestand only answer to the problem between two people.

6. We want an immediate end to the police brutality andmob attacks against the so-called Negro throughout theUnited States. We believe that the Federal governmentshould intercede to see that Black men and women tried inwhite courts receive justice in accordance with the laws ofthe land–or allow us to build a new nation for ourselves, dedicated to justice, freedom and liberty.

7. As long as we are not allowed to establish a state orterritory of our own, we demand not only equal justiceunder the laws of the United States, but equal employmentopportunities–NOW! We do not believe that after 400 years

of free or nearly free labour, sweat and blood, which hashelped America become rich and powerful, so manythousands of Black people should have to subsist on reliefor charity or live in poor houses.

8. We want the government of the United States to exemptour people from ALL taxation as long as we are deprived ofequal justice under the laws of the land.

9. We want equal education–but separate schools up to 16for boys and 18 for girls on the condition that the girls besent to women’s colleges and universities. We want allBlack children educated, taught and trained by their ownteachers. Under such schooling system we believe we willmake a better nation of people. The United Statesgovernment should provide, free, all necessary text booksand equipment, schools and college buildings. The Muslimteachers shall be left free to teach and train their people inthe way of righteousness, decency and self respect.

10. We believe that intermarriage or race mixing should beprohibited. We want the religion of Islam taught withouthindrance or suppression.

Master W Fard Muhammad

What The Muslims Believe1. WE BELIEVE In the One God whose proper Name isAllah.

2. WE BELIEVE in the Holy Qur’an and in the Scriptures ofall the Prophets of God.

3. WE BELIEVE in the truth of the Bible, but we believethat it has been tampered with and must be reinterpretedso that mankind will not be snared by the falsehoods thathave been added to it.

4. WE BELIEVE in Allah’s Prophets and the Scriptures theybrought to the people.

5. WE BELIEVE in the the resurrection of the dead–not inphysical resurrection–but in mental resurrection. Webelieve that the so-called Negroes are most in need ofmental resurrection; therefore they will be resurrected first.Furthermore, we believe we are the people of God’schoice, as it has been written, that God would choose therejected and the despised. We can find no other personsfitting this description in these last days more that the so-called Negroes in America. We believe in the resurrection

of the righteous.

6. WE BELIEVE in the judgment; we believe this firstjudgment will take place as God revealed, in America…

7. WE BELIEVE this is the time in history for the separationof the so-called Negroes and the so-called whiteAmericans. We believe the Black man should be freed inname as well as in fact. By this we mean that he should befreed from the names imposed upon him by his formerslave masters. Names which identified him as being theslave master’s slave. We believe that if we are free indeed,we should go in our own people’s names–the Black peopleof the Earth.

8. WE BELIEVE in justice for all, whether in God or not; webelieve as others, that we are due equal justice as humanbeings. We believe in equality–as a nation–of equals. Wedo not believe that we are equal with our slave masters inthe status of “freed slaves.” We recognize and respectAmerican citizens as independent peoples and we respecttheir laws which govern this nation.

9. WE BELIEVE that the offer of integration is hypocriticaland is made by those who are trying to deceive the Blackpeoples into believing that their 400-year-old open enemiesof freedom, justice and equality are, all of a sudden, their“friends.” Furthermore, we believe that such deception isintended to prevent Black people from realizing that thetime in history has arrived for the separation from thewhites of this nation. If the white people are truthful abouttheir professed friendship toward the so-called Negro, theycan prove it by dividing up America with their slaves. We donot believe that America will ever be able to furnish enoughjobs for her own millions of unemployed, in addition to jobsfor the 20,000,000 black people as well.

10. WE BELIEVE that we who declare ourselves to berighteous Muslims, should not participate in wars whichtake the lives of humans. We do not believe this nationshould force us to take part in such wars, for we havenothing to gain from it unless America agrees to give us thenecessary territory wherein we may have something to fightfor.

11. WE BELIEVE our women should be respected andprotected as the women of other nationalities are respectedand protected.

12. WE BELIEVE that Allah (God) appeared in the Personof Master W Fard Muhammad, July, 1930; the long-awaited“Messiah” of the Christians and the “Mahdi” of the Muslims. We believe further and lastly that Allah is God and besidesHIM there is no god and He will bring about a universalgovernment of peace wherein we all can live in peacetogether.
