    4t the Kisbon Summit in ovember ,/1/ the 4llies underlined their determination to improve the 40=$DU strategic partnership.0his was reinforced by 40=Os ,/1/ Strategic Foncept which commits the 4lliance to prevent crises manage conflicts and stabilisepost$conflict situations including by wor&ing more closely with 40=Os international partners most importantly the United ationsand its strategic partner $ the DU.

    40=Os Strategic Foncept clearly states that an active and effective DU contributes to the overall security of the Duro$4tlantic area.0he Duropean UnionOs Kisbon 0reaty 5in force end ,//*6 provides a framewor& for strengthening the DUOs capacities to addresscommon security challenges. on$DU Duropean 4llies ma&e a significant contribution to these efforts.
