JOY fueled to go…
A. Source of power – the JOY of the LORD!
“… the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV)
He, the source of all things, is joyful – it’s His nature so we live in a joyful universe – the mountains and the hills will burst into song before you and the trees of the field will clap their hands. (Isaiah 55:12)
What is joy?
• A lasting sense of well-being
• The prospect of possessing what one desires
Why is He joyful? (lasting sense of well-being)1. He is love – desiring the best for all, always!
2. He enjoys what He has created – it is good!
3. Love NEVER fails – He is not threatened.
Why is He joyful?(prospect of possessing what He desires)
4. Firstly, He is a Father at heart, and He has redeemed His family for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2)
5. He has overcome the world system for them, and is working all things together for good (John 16:33, Romans 8:28)
A. Source of power – the Lord delights in you!
1. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17)
2. The Lord takes delight in His people (Psalm 149:4, Isaiah 65:19). The Lord will take delight in you (Isaiah 62:4)
A. Source of power – the Lord delights in you!
3. The ultimate goal is to be with Him (Revelation 21:1-4). The Lord is with you (Immanuel), for ages yet to come (Ephesians 2:6-7). He wants us, He likes us and we are important to Him.

B. Receiving joy-generated power – USE YOUR CONNECTION!
In Christ, seated in heavenly places in Him (Ephesians 2:6-7)
Christ in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27)
Sons of God, led by the Spirit (Romans 8:14)
Participators in the divine nature (2 Peter 1:3-4)
B. Receiving joy-generated power – USE YOUR CONNECTION!
Displaying His wisdom – pure, peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, sincere
The Lamb on the throne – being lambs among wolves, good overcoming evil
Responding from the Spirit – do not reactin the flesh
C. Living in real power – well-being
Be joyful, ALWAYS (1 Thessalonians 5:16)
Rejoice in the Lord, ALWAYS (Philippians 4:4-7)
Fruit of the Spirit is joy (Galatians 5:22)
C. Living in real power – the prospect of possessing what one desires
This is eternal life – to know and experience the one true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent (John 17:3)
We will be with Him when He returns (Revelation 21:1-4)
The meek shall inherit the earth (Matthew 4:5)
