Thornton Hall is central to the beautiful and

interesting attractions of Wirral, Chester and

Liverpool.

The Wirral Peninsula offers a range of

beautiful villages, set in idyllic locations, and

extensive coastal walks for peace and

relaxation. The picturesque villages of

Thornton Hough and Port Sunlight were both

built by Lord Leverhulme for his employees

of Lever Brothers and offer a beautiful setting

for a leisurely walk. For the more energetic,

there are numerous golf courses, in

particular The Royal Liverpool Golf Club, the

venue of the 2006 Open.

The historic Roman Walled City of Chester,

with its distinctive architecture and town

cryer (during the summer months) is a lovely

city to visit. The city has Britains largest

Roman Amphitheatre, a gothic cathedral

and its own racecourse.

Liverpool, with its many museums and art

galleries along with the Albert Dock and its

maritime history are a real must for visitors.

Superior Bedrooms are extremely well

appointed, located overlooking the open

countryside or hotel gardens. First floor rooms

all have balconies, ground floor rooms have

doors onto a small patio.

The bedrooms include as standard rooms

plus: complementary slippers, use of towelling

bathrobe, fruit bowl, mineral water, upgraded beverage tray, newspaper and

late checkout (subject to availability). Also T-Mobile wireless internet access.

** From the M53:

Take Junction 4 onto the B5151, sign posted Willaston/Neston, for

approximately half a mile. Take 3rd exit off the roundabout onto the

B5136, sign posted Thornton Hough/Neston.

Make your way through Thornton Hough village and we are situated on the

left.

From the M6:

Take Junction 20 onto the M56, and then take Junction 15 onto the M53,

making sure you follow the signs for Ellesmere Port/Birkenhead, then

follow directions as above. **

From Manchester Airport:

Join the M56 at Junction 5, sign posted North Wales/Chester and then

follow directions as above. **

From Liverpool:

Take the Kingsway Tunnel onto the M53. Take Junction 4 and then follow

directions as above. **

From Chester:

Take the A540 to Heswall. Follow this road for approximately 10 miles and

turn right onto the B5136, sign posted Thornton Hough. Follow this road

for approximately 1 mile and we are on the right.
