The Passion Project: Passion Project Proposals

Once you have decided which of your passions you are going to focus on for your passion project, you need to submit to me

a proposal in which you explain to me a number of things about the project you’ll be undertaking. This will be submitted as a

written proposal. It should answer any questions that I have about your Passion Project, though if necessary, we may

discuss your proposal.

Your proposal should explain the following things:

Your chosen Passion What will you be focusing on?

Why did you choose this particular Passion?

What is your ultimate goal in pursuing this Passion?

Resources you will use Let me know who, or what, you will help you to work on this passion, and how you think they, or it, it will help you meet your

goal

Your initial plan How do you plan to use your time to work on this Passion?

Will it be school based, or worked on somewhere else?

Will you use time outside of the allotted classtime to work on this Passion of yours?

Assessment How will you know that you’ve met your goal?

How will you be able to demonstrate your achievement to the class?

The Passion Project is a different kind of project. It may follow the planning you do in your proposal, or it may not. The goal

of the proposal is to make a plan, so that you have a focus. The plan may change, but hopefully by doing this initial planning,

little of your time will be wasted.
