Kapilavastu སའགང། Kapilavastu (or, Kapilvastu) is a place in Nepal, where the Siddhartha Gautama(Buddha) grew up and lived up to the age o f 29. Siddhartha spent his early life in Kapilavastu as a prince, mostly oblivious of worldly miseries. He got married to Yashodhara and had a son named Rahula. Upon confronting worldly miseries such as disease, aging and death, he left Kapilavastu in search of enlightenment and in quest of answers to his questions about such miseries, pain and sufferings. Nairanjana River ན་རཉྫ ་ནར། nE ran dza na: Nairanjana River [flowing by Bodhgaya in present day Bihar) [IW] Lumbini   ལ་། (Sanskrit for "the lovely") is a Buddhist pilgrimage site located in the Nepalese district Rupandehi, near the  Indian border. It is commonly recognized as the birth site of  Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, who lived between approximately  563 BCE and 483 BCE. Lumbini is located near Kapilavastu, the place where the Buddha grew up and lived up to the age of 29. Bodh Gaya Bodh Gaya or Bodhgaya is the place of  Buddha's attainment of Enlightenment . The complex, located about 96 kilometers from Patna (situated at latitude 24° 41' 45" N, longitude 85° 2' 2" E) in the state of Bihar in India, contains the Mahabodhi Temple with the diamond throne (called the Vajrasana) and the holy Bodhi tree. This tree is a sapling of the Sri Maha Bodhi tree in Sri Lanka, itself a sapling of the original Bodhi tree.

Vaishali is a district  in Bihar state, India. The history of Vaishali

district is very ancient, and finds mention in the Indian classicMahabharata, as well as in Buddhist  and Jain tradition.

Sarnath

Sarnath  བ་ར་ན་སི།  outside Varanasi (formerly also Mrigadava,

Rishipattana, Isipatana), located 13 kilometres from Varanasi, Uttar

Pradesh, India, is the deer park where Gautama Buddha first taught 

the Dharma, and where the Buddhist  Sangha was founded.

Kushinagar or Kusinagar is a Buddhist pilgrimage site located next 

to Kasia a rural town in the state of  Uttar Pradesh, 52 km off 

Gorakhpur, in northern India. 

In ancient times, it was known as Kushavati (Jatakas). Kushinagar 

was a celebrated center of the Malla kingdom of ancient India. Later, it

would be known as Kushinara, one of four holy sites for Buddhists. At

this location, near the Hiranyavati River, Gautama Buddha (attainedParinirvana (passed away), and was cremated.
