The Lemon Detox Diet

There are also many other benefits to the detox diet such as weight loss and the healing of skin conditions (in some cases). 1 The first ingredient is water (obviously). You'll need 2 liters of water for the recipe. If you don't have a measuring jar handy you can always just fill a clean 2 liter soda bottle up with water. This is what I usually do, as it ends up being exact. Just make sure it's washed out properly. You can also use a tea jug if you have one.

2 The second ingredient is 14 table spoons of lemon juice. FRESHLY SQUEEZED lemon juice I might add. DO NOT use store bought lemon juice. Squeeze the lemons yourself! This is vitally important. Please follow the directions as Mr. Burroughs prescribed. A lot of people I speak with ask me whether or not store bought lemon juice usok . This answers that question. Usually the kind you buy in the store is HEATED and many nutrients are lost in the process. Also, buy organic if possible. I realize they are more expensive but they don't have all of the crazy chemicals. Your body will be going through a detox process to get rid of toxins, why would you want to add toxins (found in non organic produce) to your body?

3. The third ingredient is 14 table spoons GRADE B MAPLE SYRUP. DO NOT USE GRADE A OR GRADE C MAPLE SYRUP. The usual syrup that is sold in stores is pumped full ofadditives and sugar. It's horrible for you. This is the most important part of the lemon detox diet, do not screw it up! You can find grade b maple syrup at certain gourmet supermarkets and health food stores. Some of you will not have access to this kind of maple syrup. In that case you will have to purchase some online and have it delivered. Alternatively you can order a master cleanse kit which comes with it. I'd recommend that you look on Amazon for the cheapest price.

4. The fourth ingredient is 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. (NOTE: Certain people are allergic to cayenne pepper. Make sure you are not allergic to this before taking it. If you are then you can follow the recipe with cinnamon instead, providing you are not allergic toCinnamon as well. This serves as a good cayenne pepper substitute for the lemon cleanse). You can vary the amount of pepper if its too spicy for you. I love spicy food so I actually add more. Cayenne pepper has a tremendous amount of healing properties and has been used for centuries.

This will be your daily nourishment. You'll still be getting calories from the maple syrup, so you WILL be consuming calories. This is important as your body needs SOME form of nourishment. Many people advise that you follow these directions exactly. Do not consume more (or less) maple syrup then is listed in the recipe.
