Landscape Learning Journey What is the Landscape Learning Journey? The landscape learning journey is the capacity development trajectory within the broader Climate Change Programme. Center for Development Innovation – Wageningen UR supports HoAREC with the implementation of this learning journey. A selected group of facilitators and researchers from the Horn of Africa jointly embark on a journey in which they are empowered to enhance the resilience of their landscapes. The major topic for exchange and collective learning is that of landscape governance. Where do we work? Civil society members and academics of HoA-REC&N from Djibouti, Kenya, Somaliland, South Sudan, Sudan and Ethiopia identified six intervention landscape areas. Each landscape has selected 3 colleagues who have become active members of the landscape learning journey Components of the Landscape Learning Journey Learning events Research Online platform Internation al course An essential part of the Learning Journey are the face-to-face learning events which are organised twice a year in 1 of the 6 landscapes. Each year, 3 participants from the Learning Journey are invited to join this international course organized in Indonesia together with CIFOR and ICRAF What have we achieved so far?
