    Introduction

    Typography

Typography is the study of type and typefaces, and the evolution of printed letters. Typography

is a tool that has been used for hundreds of centuries (think about hieroglyphics). Many peopleconsider

Typography to be merely a bunch of fancy lettering. However, typography is much more than that.

Typography can transform a message to make it more intriguing.Typographycan be utilized to capture

the attention of the audience. It is important to remember that Typography is not just copy for a print,

communication and sometimes gets pushed so far beyond conventional typographic boundaries that it

can become an abstract art form. For example, graffiti, which is a form of typography, always catches

my attention because it is difficult to decipher and read. Graffiti artist usethis form of typography to

    communicate words, ideas, and emotions.

    Colors and Shapes

When our eyes are focusing on a two or three-dimensional object, our brains notice shape,

color, and content in that particular order. Therefore, visual design is simply the use of certain shapes

and colors to express the content. Scientifically speaking, color is the result of a spectrum of light, as it is

reflected and absorbed, by the human eye and processed by the human brain. Color is one of the most

fulfilling elements in our lives. Color can attract your attention or change your mood. Would someone

take an issue more or less seriously if it was coded red or purple? If you are like me, you would consider

a red alert a more urgent matter than a purple alert.

Color is one of the first things you notice when you walk into a room. Is it any wonder that color,

and how you use it, is one of the most important decorating decisions you'll probably ever make in your

home? The subject of color is vast and complex. There are a variety of different attributes that make

colors appear the way they do. For example,Hue, saturation, and brightness are aspects of color in the

red, green, and blue color scheme.

    Charts and Graphs

Charts and graphs provide a great deal of visual appeal. They allow the audience to quickly spot

trends and patterns from vast compilations of data and visualize them in an actual picture. This power

and appeal is what makes a picture worth a thousand words. Contrary to what many people may

believe, the majority of communication takes place through visual mediums. Relationships that can be

seen are generally more relevant than things that cannot be seen.Charts like the statistical scatterplot is

an excellent tools to show a cause and effect relationship between two variables.
