By now you are probably sick and tired of hearing about

the pandemic-SO ARE WE! This has caused a severe

“kink” in our ministry as I am sure it’s caused drastic

changes in your life as well. Our income revenue has al-

ready taken an $80,000 hit as of May 1st and another

$100,000+ projected by August 1st.

Our Executive Board of Directors met on Monday, May

4th, and after much discussion/prayer of summer camp,

we have come up with solutions. Of course, if this infor-

mation changes (and the possibility is high), we will notify

you as soon as we know. You can go to butler-

springs.com for our current summer camp schedule and

be sure follow us on social media - Facebook and Insta-

gram - to keep current on our situation.

Also, please pray that if we are allowed to have summer

camp that we will be able to do it safely with the health

and spiritual well-being of our campers and families fore-

most in our mind.

As much as Person to Person wants to host

Family Camp, this year it is not even practical.

We had already seen it’s not feasible. Therefore,

a motion was made at our May 16, 2020 Trustees

meeting to cancel Hillsboro Family Camp this

year. This decision is only for the 2020 Family

Camp. As the motion was made, it was stated,

“With a heavy heart I make this motion, and I want

that statement in the motion.” Our hearts are truly

broken to make this announcement.

However . . . .

Mark you calendar now for the online CLASSIC

FAMILY CAMP - July 27-30. Details will be coming, so keep watching the P2P website and social media for

more information!

All Creation Groans For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice,

but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom

and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth

right up to the present time. -Romans 8:20-22 (NIV)

L AST WEEK WE CONSIDERED THE

symphony of praise that all Creation lifts to

its Maker as night after night “the heavens

declare” His praise, and day after day the creatures

of earth instruct us of His grand design.

But there is another sound in this symphony that we

hear—a discordant and disruptive sound—it arrests

our attention, it unsettles

our thoughts, it troubles our

souls, it haunts our waking

and sleeping moments. But

where is it coming from?

Why is it there? Can we

make it stop? There seems

to be a dark and sinister ele-

ment to this symphony that

doesn’t seem to fit the score.

What seemed beautiful and

enthralling now seems dis-

jointed and chaotic.

Analogies have their weak-

ness and at some point col-

lapse if pushed too far, but if you will allow me I will

attempt to clarify.

Creation is a symphony that was birthed in the

mind and heart of God, its composer. It was meticu-

lously fashioned piece by piece, measure by measure;

melody, harmony, rhythm, tempos, dynamics, voicing

of all orchestral pieces—earth and heavens, land and

seas, mountains and valleys, day and night, rocks

and trees, winged creatures and land creatures, “all

creatures great and small.” The masterpiece of Cre-

ation complete, birthed in absolute perfection, is now

entrusted to man by the Composer along with His

baton and personal instructions as to how His mas-

terpiece is to be conducted. Incredible liberty is given

to the conductor (mankind), but also certain bounda-

ries which allow no deviation. Any variance at the

critical juncture of those limits will be met with

disastrous results; the masterpiece will be ruined.

Confidently, man takes the baton and steps to the

maestro’s podium. All of heaven looks on in rapped

wonder as history begins. But Adam, the maestro,

makes a fatal error. He was cautioned. He was

warned. He was given instructions. In his careless-

ness and pride he tests the boundaries, he imposes

his own unsanctioned inter-

pretation, he violates the

Composer’s will. As a re-

sult, the orchestra loses its

place in the score. The dis-

ruption seems small and

insignificant—a momentary

error at first—but piece by

piece, section by section, the

players can’t seem to re-

solve the dissonance that

now replaces harmony.

They are confused, out of

sync and lost in the score.

With each measure that

passes the disharmony

grows. It is clear that the

Composer’s masterpiece has been destroyed for lack

of care on the part of the conductor. When the Com-

poser can stand no more He will pull the curtain. He

will then destroy the score.

The second law of thermodynamics has been released

and is firmly in play. The created order has been

bound over to decay. The willful rebellion of man,

who was placed on this earth as steward and care-

taker, has resulted, not in diligent management and

care of this trust, but rather in its exploitation.

I am not an earth-worshipper. I am not a tree hug-

ger. I am not a pantheist. But God has placed us

here to tend this planet—tend it, not worship it. He

designed it for our use, not its abuse. It was created

to sustain us and yet everything we seem to touch

leaves ugliness and scar. Man’s rebellion and

sin have left every piece of God’s beautiful creation

marred and in fear of Him, not in respect of Him; in

disharmony with itself. The time is coming—maybe

soon—when God the Creator will say, “Enough is

enough! Drop the curtain!” Time will then end. The

score of Creation will be destroyed.

But the Grand Composer is at work on a new score;

one that eclipses the first in every way. The amazing

thing is that you and I have both been given an invi-

tation to be a part of it—premiering soon. WOW!

1Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride

beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among men, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old or-

der of things has passed away.”

5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”

The CHOSEN

Season 1 DVD’s available

Earlier this year a short-term Hope Group met, centered around the record

breaking new, crowd funded, multi-season series on the life of Christ, The

Chosen. We have a limited number of DVD’s of season one available to any

of who may be interested. Since they were purchased in bulk, they are

available for $20. That is 33% off what Season 1 would cost if you purchased it

separately. If interested contact Jim Bush. This would be a great addition to

your family library; something you will watch over and over again and want to

share with family and friends.
