Dear Members:

P lease join me in congratulating our 2020 Men’s Club Champion, Brett Truskin. Brett edged out 2018 Club Champion, Bryan Keeling, by a result

of 3 & 2 in a 36-hole match for the championship on Sunday, July 19th. The Men’s Championship is played over 2 days, with winners playing two matches on Saturday and then the finalists playing a 36-hole match on Sunday. Needless to say that’s a lot of golf over two days in the dead of summer, but Brett was up to the task. No one at the club has played more golf than Brett this year and his persistence and hard work paid off. Please offer him your congratulations when you see him around the club. See below for full Club Championship results.

Championship Flight: (36 hole match) • Brett Truskin def. Bryan Keeling 3 & 2• 1st Flight: Matt Sicinski def. Bryce Bundy 6 & 5• 2nd Flight: Glen Hanson def. Ross Gershel 3 & 1• 3rd Flight: Harry Knorr def. Phil Maurer 3 & 2• 4th Flight: Ed Piccione def. Ed Slater 2 & 1• 5th Flight: Dave Melick def. Tom Geib 5 & 3

T he COVID-19 pandemic caused GAP to make significant adjustments to

its tournament schedule. Among the changes was the cancellation of qualifying for the Open Championship and Joseph H. Patterson Cup. But through the GAP Players Series, members can compete with a chance to earn 2021 Major exemptions. Remaining Players Series events will take place July 21 at French Creek Golf Club and July 29 at Green Valley Country Club. The top three finishers at each event, in addition to ties, will earn exemptions into next year’s GAP Middle-Amateur Championship (if 25 years of age or older), BMW Philadelphia Amateur Championship and Joseph H. Patterson Cup. For more information, visit www.gapgolf.org.

GAP continues to present the most up-to-date information regarding golf ’s reopening process throughout the region. A tropical paradise awaits you on our back patio now that we have added in some colorful foliage. We thought that you might

enjoy the flowers and ferns to help with privacy and to cool the area while you dine.

With this pandemic, the rules are always changing and we are complying with every one. The latest changes can be seen in our lounge area. You may notice that there are no longer bar stools in our bar area. This is one of the most current guidelines. All seating inside the bar area must be accompanied with a meal so all patrons must now sit at the tables with the plastic partitions in between them. Another change is that our capacity indoors was limited to 25%. So the restaurant indoors may feel very private if you choose to sit indoors.

We continue to follow all guidelines by the CDC and the Bucks County Department of Health for everyone's health and safety. We have passed all of the recent checks. Also to note, we have two full time cleaning staff making their way through the clubhouse. They are sanitizing and cleaning all public amenities several times a day. Say hello if you see them. We hope that you will visit us again soon. We'd love to serve you.

A Tropical Paradise Can Be Found on Our Back Patio

You can also order anything on our regular menu as a take-out option. These are perfect ways to use your food minimum if you don't feel comfortable visiting our restaurant.
