  • Powerful thought: Great achievements often happen when our backs are against the wall. Pressure can actually enhance your performance. Easy times do not make you better. Greatness never come to anyone normal (Mother Theresa, Mahatma Gandhi, Bill Gates, Thomas Edison walked on a different path). 5/13/2014 3
  • Failure is not a possibility or an option. People just have to win. Diamonds get formed through intense pressure. The story of the famed explorer, Hernando Cartes, landed on the shores of Veracruz, Mexico faced an uphill battle; an aggressive enemy and brutal disease. Before going to the war, Cortes ordered one of his lieutenants Burn our boats. He did not need any option but winning. Actually, they won. (The Greatness Guide page-43) 5/13/2014 4
  • Richard Carrion, the CEO of Puerto Ricos top bank said, nothing fails like success Organizations are most vulnerable when the are more successful-success actually breed complacency, inefficiency and the worst of all-arrogance. When people or organizations get success, they often fall in love with themselves; they stop innovating, working hard and taking risks. 5/13/2014 5
  • The more success your organization become, the more humble and devoted to your customers you need to be. The moment you stop doing the very things that got you to the top of the mountain is the very moment you begin the slide down to the valley. (The Greatness Guide page-06) 5/13/2014 6
  • A moment to think; I came into this world with nothing, and all Im going to leave with is my conscience. (Robin Sharma, the Greatness Guide; page 211) 5/13/2014 7
  • Big idea: why wait to get old to become experienced? I want experience of an old man while I am still young; Collapse time line; read new books and take new travels. People lose 20 good years doing unimportant things. Do not spend much time doing unimportant things. Take time to think; decide your priorities about your dreams and goals. 5/13/2014 8
  • By getting clear on what you out of your life, you heighten your awareness about what is most important. Better awareness; better choices then better results. Start right now. Read deep books, seize opportunities. Fail; is reflects an increase in your reach and risk taking. Benjamin Zander, the conductor of Boston Philharmonic, shared; I am sorry for you; your lives have been so easy. You cant play great music unless your heart is broken. The more experiences, the better the life. The person who experiences most wins. (The Greatness Guide page-129) 5/13/2014 9
  • Everyone love to hear two magic words; Thank You. Appreciate people what they have done for you. The number-one reason employees leave their organizations is not because they were not paid enough ; they leave because they were not given enough appreciation. 5/13/2014 10
  • Max De Pree, the former CEO of Herman Miller said, the first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you. So, take a moment and think of people in your life who need to cherished and appreciated. Say thank you. Those two magic words do not cost anything, but will make a world of difference. (The Greatness Guide page-92) 5/13/2014 11
