The FLEC Flyer | September 11, 2009 | Week 4

From the Principal...

Dear Parents,

Greetings! For many, Labor Day Weekend represents theconclusion of summer and the beginning of fall. While ourFlorida weather may not reflect the change of seasons that

is experienced in the north, we still look forward to fall at FLEC, and all thespecial activities that come with the season such as Home and Schoolpotluck, Fall Festival, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Thanksgiving, soccerseason and much, much more. The anticipation of the season brings theassurance that Forest Lake Education Center is a special place with specialpeople who compose our FLEC Family.

While planning for these activities is an arduous task, it is all worth whilewhen one considers that at FLEC we are deeply committed and passionateabout our students.

May the hope of the new season bring a renewed sense of purpose for ourcollaboration in partnering in the Ministry of Education.

Development Report

Have you seen the photos of the greatFLEC students hanging in the churchlobbies? The photos are hanging, notthe students!

If you haven’t seen them yet, go look –our kids are amazing! Let me know ifyou found your child among the photoson one of the bulletin boards featuring FLEC kids at 4 of our constituentchurches: Apopka, Altamonte Springs, Markham Woods, and WinterSprings. Still working to find a place at Forest Lake Church.

That leads to a request – We need a volunteer from each church tohelp once a month to put up the new bulletin board. We are workingwith the teachers to get the display items, all we need from you is awilling hand to take down the old pictures and put up the new onesthat we will supply. Call Dan Tilstra (269) 208-1111 or the main FLECnumber if you can help us with this very important communicationpiece.

We want everyone to know every week that FLEC is alive, well, and ahappening place!
