Brake Squeal Evaluation on High Performance VehicleThedigitalcontrollinesfromthefiringcontrolsequencefromsolidpropellant rocket motors are used to control a Prosig P8048,whichmeasuresvibrationandpressuresignals.TheP8048systemis configuredwith a digital controlmodule and customacquisitionsoftware for transducer calibration,automaticdata structuringandrockettestsequencemeasurement.

Measurement of Vibration and Pressure in Rocket Motor

AProsig P8004andtheDATS Human Biodynamics Analysis Suiteisusedtomakeassessmentsontheexposureofthehumanbody to vibration data. The data is captured on a moving train.HealthandcomfortcriteriaarecalculatedaccordingtovariousISOstandardsandprovidedtotheuserintheformofstandardreports.Theend-userhasusedmanyoftheresultsinexperttestimonyworkinlegalcases.

Testing in Low Temperature Transonic Wind ThecustomerusesaProsig P8004connectedtoacustomtriaxialaccelerometer to study tarmac surfaces. As a car moves over aroaditcausesarippleintheroadsurface.DATSisusedtoderivedisplacementfromthemeasuredaccelerations.Theresultsareusedtostudydifferenttypesofsurfaceandchangesduetohumidityandtemperature. The goal is to find a surface that does not flex andbreak,butisnottoorigid.

Investigation of Road Surface Materials

Prosig have supplied a turnkey industrial monitoring system thatmeasurestheaccuracyofaninnovativenewdesignofdomesticwatermeter. A P8020 system is used to capture pre-conditioned fluidpressurewaveformstogetherwithothertestrigcontrolparameterssuch as temperatures and pressures. Advanced pulse analysissoftware in DATS analyses the captured signals and producesdetailed reports that comparemeterperformanceatdifferent flowratesundervarioustestconditions.

Thecustomerneedstocheckwhethernoiseandvibrationfromanundergroundtrain line isgoingtocauseanuisance inaproposedmulti-storeyhousingblock.AsophisticatedmeasuringsystembasedonatriaxialaccelerometerisconnectedtoaProsig P8000,whichisusedtocapturethedata.Theresultsoffurtheranalysisareusedtodetermine if thenoiseandvibrationof the trainswill fallwithinprescribedlimits.
