Thorson became Liberace’s friend and

form, supported by an excellent cast

including a stand-out performance by

Rob Lowe as Liberace’s plastic surgeon.

cruelty and cynicism as their marriage

disintegrates around them.

The director of Sightseers returns with

deserters flee from a raging battle

for a hidden treasure. Crossing a vast

mushroom circle, which provides their

first meal, the group quickly descend

into a chaos of fighting and paranoia.

A beautifully shot drama that acts as

a companion piece to director Abbas

Kiarostami’s 2010 film Certified Copy.

Like Someone In Love is a droll Tokyo-set

character study about the unexpected

connection that develops between

Akiko, a young prostitute, and an elderly

widowed customer. It becomes apparent

that Akiko’s client is more interested in

cooking her soup, playing Ella Fitzgerald

records and talking. However, like with

Certified Copy, nothing is quite as it

appears on the surface.

With: Ólafur Darri Ólafsson

Based on true events, Iceland’s official

submission for Best Foreign Language

Film at the 2013 Oscars begins in 1984

when a fishing boat capsizes several

miles off land. In treacherous, freezing

cold conditions one of the crew, Gulli,

attempts the impossible and tries

swimming to safety. In succeeding

he becomes a national hero and an

unexpected scientific curiosity but

he is also saddled with the guilt of

surviving.

A detailed examination of information

sharing website Wikileaks, and its

controversial creator Julian Assange.

Oscar winning documentary-maker

Alex Gibney fashions his film like an

espionage thriller, exploring questions

surrounding transparency and freedom

of information. As well as Assange,

Gibney also focuses on US soldier

Bradley Manning, currently on trial for

being the alleged source of a huge leak

of classified military documents.

PARKINGAmple pay and display parking is available within two minutes walk of The Dukes

– a flat evening rate applies after 6pm. Bike racks are located on Moor Lane, close

to The Dukes.

CAR PARKING SPACES for blue badge holders can usually be reserved in

advance by contacting our Box Office.

ACCESSWheelchair spaces are available and access to the auditorium, Box Office and bar

is via the alley to the left of the main entrance. Please note that the surface of the

alley is cobbled. There is a doorbell by the ramp if the door is not open.

FACILITIES FOR DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING PATRONS Infra red sound systems are available to amplify sound via a personal headset.

Headsets can be booked in advance from Box Office. Selected film screenings in

our programme are subtitled for hard of hearing patrons. Guide dogs and Hearing

Dogs are welcome.
