The Buffalo History Museum Participates in NHL Draft Week
Activities at RiverWorks
Buffalo, NY (June 20, 2016) Throughout NHL Draft Week all who visit River Works will get a
glimpse of Buffalo Sports History and forthcoming exhibit (Fall 2017) ICONS: THE MAKERS
AND MOMENTS OF BUFFALO SPORTS. A program discussion led Sabres alumni and sports
memorabilia collectors is planned at RiverWorks entertainment and concert venue. Sabres and
Bills artifacts on display and vendor show will round out the cross promotion.

Featured are special guest Sabres Alumni, Danny Gare and Rene Robert. Sports memorabilia
collectors, Greg Tranter and Joseph Gambacorta will share their passion for sports history. A
preview of ICONS: THE MAKERS AND MOMENTS OF BUFFALO SPORTS coming to The
Buffalo History Museum in 2017 invites public participation in its planning. Danny Gare will

Sabres Sports History Exhibit June 21-26 during NHL Draft Week and on view during RiverWorks hours of operation
On display are objects created for the National Hockey League’s 31st All-Star Game, played at
Buffalo’s Memorial Auditorium in 1978. Buffalo Bills artifacts are also on view. The exhibit and
many more that highlight our city’s greatest sports moments will be featured in The Buffalo
History Museum’s upcoming exhibit, ICONS: THE MAKERS AND MOMENTS OF
BUFFALO SPORTS, opening in the fall of 2017.
