The Broome-Tioga Race Report HURD, JACKSON T OP PODIUMS AT BROOME-TIOGA WINTER SERIES Hurd Motorsports, promoters of the world class Broome- Tioga Sports Center facility, hosted the penultimate round of their Winter Mud and Snow Scrambles Series. The racing has been excellent at all rounds as the series begins to wind down with only one round remaining. The series continues grow and has been attracting new racers to this unique and challenging series but also continues to attract some of the most experi- enced and talented off-road riders from upstate New York and beyond. Race day dawned under mostly overcast skies but the sun did make an appearance off and on throughout the day. The fore- cast for race day predicted a high of 45 degrees but a very brisk wind made it feel like 35 and maybe even chillier. Track conditions were very wet and muddy and proved to be challenging for riders as they continually reached for tear-off after tear-off and some riders tossing their goggles altogether, trying to aide their visibility. When riders exited some of the woods sections of the racecourse, they were effectively unrec- ognizable, which in turn, made scoring difficult. By the start of the fourth lap, Jackson had opened up a sig-nificant lead. Harold moved up to second and Murphy third. Bristol remained fourth and Gregrow fifth.

The top five remained unchanged for the following two laps and Jackson took the convincing win. Harold, Murphy, Bristol and Gregrow completed the top five.
