What Happened Next

• Edward Gerrish left only to return shortly. When Gerrish returned he came back with a group of people yelling and complaining too.

The Colonist’s Reaction

• The British soldiers did not listen or care. So the colonists threw huge ice balls and rocks at the soldiers.

How the British Reacted

• The British reacted by taking fire at the colonists. These shots wounded 11 people and killed 5.

• There were 5 deaths during the Boston Massacre. The 5 people who died were Samuel Gray, James Caldwell, Crispus Attucks, Samual Maverick, and Patrick Car.
