Attention all Staff, Families & Friends;
The Rehabilitation Department is undergoing some very important program changes starting March 31, 2014. We have revamped our programs into specific resident centered groups, in which case only specified residents attend certain programs in the week.
We now run Active Range of Motion groups, Breathing groups, Balance groups and Activities of Daily Living groups. Each resident registered in the groups has been assessed and an individualized care plan, and as such, we can no longer accept all residents in our group classes.
We are also going through a few staffing changes which will result in more changes to our programming. As of April 1, 2014, we will have 4 rehabilitation assistants instead of 5. In our efforts to maintain the most beneficial programming, we will be continuing to offer our group classes, walking and standing balance programs and specialized range of motion for Botox clinic residents. Unfortunately, due to resources, as well as changing standards with Alberta Health Services, we will no longer be able to maintain our regular range of motion program. We will be in contact with residents and families of those affected. Please note that the affected residents will be monitored to ensure that they continue to have the flexibility needed for safe positioning and daily care.
If you or your loved one would like to participate in one of our programs, or If you have any questions or comments, please contact Tracy Smith, Rehabilitation Manager in the Rehabilitation Department - 403 873 2608 or email [email protected]. Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation during these changes - The Rehabilitation Department at the Beverly Care Centre Lake Midnapore

Spring Fever Four high school boys afflicted with spring fever skipped
morning classes. After lunch they reported to the teacher that they had a flat tire. Much to their relief she smiled and said, "Well, you missed a test today so take seats apart from one
another and take out a piece of paper." Still smiling, she waited for them to sit down. Then she said: "First Question: Which tire was
