• Famous for seafood like conch, crawfish, and land crabs

• Not all states in the United States can harvest seafood because we don’t have oceans everywhere around us.

• Staple food is nice• Typical meal is macaroni and cheese, potato

salad, and the seafood that the person prefers.

Music

• Genres: Calypso, Chutney, Dancehall, Dub, Junkanoo, Ragga, and Rapso.

• Dancehall is like our ballroom dancing. • Dub is like our rap.• Junkanoo is like our parade music. • Rihanna is from the Bahamian area. • The song that is playing in the background is

her.

Economic Aspect

• Tourism: Atlantis and swimming with dolphins.

• Export tropical fruit• Import oil • Americans go to the Bahamas to swim with

dolphins and go to Atlantis .

• 95% literacy rate• 71, average on how long they live • Same healthcare issues as the U.S, too
