The organization has an active performance schedule, including worldwide concerts and competitions.

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is a hilarious tale of overachievers’ angst chronicling the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show’s Tony Award-winning creative team has created the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time.

Enjoy an afternoon of music selected from the greatest height of the orchestral era. Beautiful melodies from the Classical and Romantic periods will be performed by the Daytona State College Symphony Orchestra.

Instrumental ExtravaganzaMarch 6, 7:30 p.m.Davidson Theater A showcase of our instrumental music students, we will feature the 75-member symphonic band playing Broadway Show Music, marches and colorful arrangements exclusive to the concert band. Our big band will then swing into the setting with some contemporary arrangements that highlight student soloists.

Translated by William Murray.Join us for an evening of one-acts by the Italian master, Luigi Pirandello. One of the greatest and most influential playwrights of modern drama, Pirandello won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1934 for his “bold and brilliant renovation of the drama and the stage.” Wily peasants, feisty pessimists, frustrated rural sophists, and the entire masquerade of a sadly comic humanity-without-props make up this delightful and valuable collection of plays.

In almost non-stop song and dance, the show tells the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with Daniel, a wealthy boy from the other side of her island. After Daniel is returned to his people, the fantastical gods who rule the island guide Ti Moune on a quest to test the strength of her love against the powerful forces of prejudice and hatred. Appropriate and entertaining for the whole family!
