ANDREW SPINDLER ANTIQUES & DESIGN, Essex, Mass. — A Nineteenth Century optician’s eye test chart in black painted wood with metal lamp visor and linen scroll printed with graduated sequences of letters to be read at various distances. It is made by the Globe Optical Company, Bos-ton, circa 1880s and measures 10 inches high, 10 inches wide and is 8¼ inches deep.
ANDREW SPINDLER ANTIQUES & DESIGN, Essex, Mass. — An signed Eric Ravilious designed oval platter for Wedgwood from the Garden Series, depicting a woman under a tree with parasols and a cabana, with geometric border decorated in transfer printed black with yellow high-lights on a white field. It is English, circa 1938 (design), 1951–54 (produc-tion), and measures 14½ inches long, 11¾ inches wide and 1½ inches deep.
ANDREW SPINDLER ANTIQUES & DESIGN, Essex, Mass. — A giant Staffordshire pottery pitcher in the Harlequin pattern, made by Els-more and Forster, decorated with a great variety of whimsical transfer printed vignettes, animals and harlequins, English, circa 1853–71, measuring 14-5/8 inches high, 14 inches wide and 10 inches deep.

ANDREW SPINDLER ANTIQUES & DESIGN, Essex, Mass. — A pair of fig-ural scottie (scotch terrier) dog andirons, in cast iron, with traces of old black paint. Each dog is modeled in three dimensions, with an alert stance. They measure 8½ inches tall by 10½ inches wide by 20 inches deep.
