THE ARGAN ARGUMENT Not all Argan Oils are Argan Oil. Once again the saying “Oils ain't oils.” speaks the truth. Too ofen these days people are saying that Argan Oil is not all its cracked up to be and has been disappointng and a waste of money. That’s because we have become victm of the ‘Con the Consumer’ game and the market has been fooded with poor quality product claiming to be what it’s not. And even though labelled as 100% pure, organic, Moroccan oil, much of the Argan Oil on the shelves has been loaded with safower oil and silicon (yes - a silly con and hardly Argan at all). Sad but true. So of course it doesn’t do what it says it will. We have witnessed frst hand what happens in Morocco with Argan oil and have seen many variatons of the oil. On our quest to source the fnest, we visited 4 diferent Argan oil suppliers and only one passed our test of ‘honest business’. It was explained to us that Argan is ofen diluted with cheap Safower oil that is easy to come by in Morocco. It was apparent that each trader in the supply chain added Safower oil untl the product had nearly no Argan oil in it and so did not even feel like Argan oil. So to remedy that, silicon was added to make the texture present more like true Argan oil. At the same tme, the organic certfcaton was passed along the line and in the end, a mixture of safower, silicon and a trace of Argan was put on the market as 100% pure Certfed Organic Moroccan Argan Oil. 30kg of kernels (about 1 tree’s yearly yield) and nearly 2 days of labour are required to cold press 1 litre of this precious seed oil, so it is no wonder the temptaton exists to exploit this precious product. That’s why we feel we must visit each of our producers personally so that we can afrm that all of our products are what we say they are. Love Argan Oil is the purest form of Argan Seed oil on earth. Straight from the Argan nut, sustainably harvested and cold pressed in Morocco - this is the genuine artcle - nothing added, nothing taken away. We purchase direct from the primary producer so from plant to botle, there are no middlemen to interfere with the oil in any way. And we confrm that the organic certfcaton by Ecocert, SA is authentc (not just two words on the packaging) and directly relates to our product. So next tme you hear the phrase “Oils Ain’t Oils,” you can at least know that Free Spirit Oils come with the gaurantee: “Our Oils Are Oils” FREE SPIRIT ORGANIC OILS www.freespiritgroup.com.au

THE ARGAN ARGUMENTNot all Argan Oils are Argan Oil. Once again the saying “Oils ain't oils.” speaks the truth.

Too often these days people are saying that Argan Oil is not all its cracked up to be and has been disappointing and a waste of money.

That’s because we have become victim of the ‘Con the Consumer’ game and the market has been flooded with poor quality product claiming to be what it’s not. And even though labelled as 100% pure, organic, Moroccan oil, much of the Argan Oil on the shelves has been loaded with safflower oil and silicon (yes - a silly con and hardly Argan at all). Sad but true. So of course it doesn’t do what it says it will.

We have witnessed first hand what happens in Morocco with Argan oil and have seen many variations of the oil. On our quest to source the finest, we visited 4 different Argan oil suppliers and only one passed our test of ‘honest business’. It was explained to us that Argan is often diluted with cheap Safflower oil that is easy to come by in Morocco. It was apparent that each trader in the supply chain added Safflower oil until the product had nearly no Argan oil in it and so did not even feel like Argan oil. So to remedy that, silicon was added to make the texture present more like true Argan oil. At the same time, the organic certification was passed along the line and in the end, a mixture of safflower, silicon and a trace of Argan was put on the market as 100% pure Certified Organic Moroccan Argan Oil.

30kg of kernels (about 1 tree’s yearly yield) and nearly 2 days of labour are required to cold press 1 litre of this precious seed oil, so it is no wonder the temptation exists to exploit this precious product.

That’s why we feel we must visit each of our producers personally so that we can affirm that all of our products are what we say they are.

Love Argan Oil is the purest form of Argan Seed oil on earth. Straight from the Argan nut, sustainably harvested and cold pressed in Morocco - this is the genuine article - nothing added, nothing taken away.

We purchase direct from the primary producer so from plant to bottle, there are no middlemen to interfere with the oil in any way. And we confirm that the organic certification by Ecocert, SA is authentic (not just two words on the packaging) and directly relates to our product.

So next time you hear the phrase “Oils Ain’t Oils,” you can at least know that Free Spirit Oils come with the gaurantee: “Our Oils Are Oils”
